ホテル モンドシャイン(Mondschein Hotel)

This was our third stay at this lovely and historic hotel. Stuben is an undiscovered gem and the new gondola lift from the village has significantly improved access into the main lift system. The bedrooms are clean and perfectly comfortable and we love the huge photographs of the mountains above Stuben taken in the 1930's. The hotel has made big improvements to the ski room, the spa area, the kitchen, a private dining room and the lift. All making a big difference. But Marcus the owner and the hotel staff are still as friendly helpful and charming as ever. We will be back!

Great hotel, chalets have super views over the village and the valley and servíce is warm and friendly. Nadia and Rasmus in particular very helpful and knowledgeable. DJ night in the bar on Fridays is a blast. Access to slopes via lift from chalets makes it all very easy.

We stopped to have lunch at the restaurant and had an amazing time. The hotel/restaurant is beautifully done and very charming. The owner was very kind and welcoming. He has a fantastic selection of wine and showed us his 200+ year old wine cellar.

I stayed here with my girlfriend in the suit and it was the most romantic place ever. We were so well received and the room was amazing with the private sauna with a fire place and breakfast was brought to our room with the most amazing view of the mountains. All and all our trip the was amazing and we will definitely be back very soon. 100% recommended to anyone that is in the area and wants to spoil themselves.

After a 2 year absence we were delighted that owner Markus did not sit back and wait for better times. He used the Covid19 imposed closure to continue improving his fabulous hotel. The new dining room compliments the excellent food served. His hotel is ever improving. We look forward to repeating our stay in the 2022-2023 season

Everything was perfect during our stay! The owner and the rest of the team are always here to help with the smile. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. The food, from breakfast to dinner is delicious with a great wine selection! We’ll be back for sure in Stuben to enjoy another stay at Hotel Mondschein!

Perfektes Hotel zum Skifahren. Man ist 5 min zu Fuß zur Albona Bahn unterwegs. Es gibt einen separaten Skiraum in dem jede Zimmernummer seinen Spind hat. Im Spind befindet sich ein Skischuhwärmer. Das Hotel hat einen großen Wellness Bereich mit 3 Saunen und 2 Ruheräumen, der täglich zwischen 16 und 19 Uhr geöffnet ist. Es ist ratsam das größere Zimmer zu buchen. Das Frühstück Buffet ist reichhaltig und Eierspeisen werden nach Wunsch zubereitet. Bei der Halbpension gibt es ein Fleisch und ein veggie Gericht zur Auswahl wenn man nichts findet gibt es Wiener Schnitzel. Das Auto kann man kostenlos auf einem Parkplatz nahe der Albona Bahn abstellen, für den man an der Rezeption einen Parkausweis erhält.

Das Hotel Mondschein hat uns wie immer einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt bereitet. Wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal dort und kommen gerne auch im nächsten Jahr wieder. Die Lage des Hotels ist für uns definitiv ein Pluspunkt, da man es nicht weit zur Gondel hat und somit flexibel ist, wann man seinen Tag auf der Piste startet und beendet. Aber nicht nur mit der Lage auch kulinarisch konnte uns das Mondschein mal wieder überzeugen. Vor allem das Schnitzel und das Cordon Bleu sowie der Kaiserschmarren sind unser Favorit auf der Speisekarte. Nach einem langen Ski Tag freuen wir uns sehr, dass wir nun auch den neuen Saunabereich nutzen können, um uns zu entspannen bevor es zum Abendessen geht. Neben dem Abendessen hat auch das Frühstück eine große Auswahl geboten und es war für jeden etwas dabei. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dieses Mal im Mondschein-Chalet verbracht, wo die Zimmer etwas größer sind als im Haupthaus. Der Shuttle Service nach Bedarf hat ohne Probleme funktioniert, jedoch sind wir das Stück zum Haupthaus auch gerne gelaufen und haben dabei das meist schöne Wetter genossen. Gleich zu Beginn unseres Aufenthalts (ein Freitag) war in der Bar des Hotels Party Nacht. Wir hatten großen Spaß und dabei den ein oder anderen Aperol getrunken, um unseren ersten Ski Tag ausklingen zu lassen. Wir waren also wie immer begeistert und können einen Aufenthalt im Hotel Mondschein nur empfehlen.

Hôtel super sympa, Marcus le chef d’établissement est un homme formidable. Nous voulions aller dans cet établissement depuis des années sur les très bons conseils d’un ami autrichien. Nous avons été reçu comme des rois. Les chambres sont extrêmement confortables et nous sommes au pied des pistes. Les villages de Stuben un merveilleux petit village, typique, loin des touristes et du ski industriel. Le domaine est absolument fantastique et nous avons vécu un moment unique. Petit plus, Marcus est passionné de vin. La cave est magnifique. Je recommande très chaudement l’hôtel Mondschein.
