La Bandita Townhouse

Almost in the middle of charming Pienza you can find this gem. The Suite was great choice for the family with plenty of space. Awesome staff. Every day you get complimentary mini bar. The dinner there was really good. The location top. Would come here again.

Nice hotel , great location. 2 things need improvement…. . When your guests check in, take their luggage to the room. When they leave, have the luggage delivered to the front desk. There are stairs to navigate (room 7) even if you use the lift…. Too difficult to navigate as an older guest. . The breakfast room. Totally confusing. There is a buffet and I thought that was the only thing to eat. Later in the stay I heard you could order eggs, etc. have a menu stating this… Otherwise nice hotel, great lotions, shampoo, etc…

Ahhh, where to begin!? My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the La Bandita Townhouse for 3 nights in early March. What a wonderful boutique hotel! The town of Pienza was the PERFECT home base for us to explore the Tuscan countryside and wine region of Italy! Set up high on a hill with stunningly beautiful views of the Val D'orcia, the hotel itself was once a convent which served its inhabitants for over 500 years! Our wonderful room featured stone walls, wood beamed ceilings and sunrise views! There is a delightful restaurant on site which served made to order breakfast as well as delicious dinners. Our waiter, Michael from Glasgow, always made us feel like friends joining him for a meal in his own home. The staff, (Valeria and Paula), were friendly, attentive to our every question or request, and even did a load of laundry for us free of charge! We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the property, Mr John Voigtmann, who took the time to introduce himself personally AND to make sure we were set up with a personal wine tasting at Podere Le Ripi (a fantastic local winery) and Il Casale (a working farm) for lunch! The town of Pienza was JUST the right size and easy to navigate. My wife and I are still day dreaming about our experience in Pienza. From the people to the accommodations to the views and the food! We will definitely be back and will recommend this hotel to anyone! Grazie Mille La Bandita Townhouse!!

What a jewel. So much to enjoy in this lovely hotel (n this well-appointed former convent) and its surroundings in the heart of Tuscany. Everything in the hotel was tasteful, comfortable, and immaculate. The service was warm, helpful, and knowledgeable. The city is charming. And the surrounding areas lush green and breathtaking - with the rest of Tuscany easy to reach by car.

I rarely ever write reviews, but this place was above and beyond all expectations and the highlight of our Tuscany trip. First of all, Pienza is amazing. Truly magical and not at all like anything in real life. My jaw was dropped the first 12 hours three just by the town alone. La Bandita Townhouse was equally amazing as Pienza. The hotel was intimate & immaculate. Rooms were very large, especially for European standards, and had every amenity needed or wanted. The “living room” common area was absolutely perfect. Restaurants closed early in town so it was the perfect place to hang out for another glass of wine with friends. And the book they supplied with of local tips was just what we needed. The restaurant was the best we had in all of Italy. The staff treated us like long friends. The food was next level, including dinner and especially the included breakfast. Can’t even begin to explain the deliciousness. Wish I could go back as we speak. Thank you La Bandita!!

My wife and I had the wonderful opportunity to stay 2 nights in Pienza, and staying at La Bandita was a treat. All the other posts about how nice it is, location, service are all spot on. I think what makes this hotel different (than the other places we stayed in Tuscany area) is it really is a high quality more modern feeling (on the inside) luxury boutique hotel experience. The finish, layout, very spacious bathrooms, etc are excellent. And you immediately feel like you have friends that are helping you really experience the best of Pienza and care that you have a great time. 5 stars on the hotel. And we also had dinner there the first night, and it was great. It is different (in a good way) from all the other restaurants we have been to in Tuscany because it feels like a more modern twist on Tuscan dishes (which was a fun change). Highly recommend if you are planning a trip in the area, try to fit in a few days here to mix it up with other Tuscan hotels and restaurants, and you won't be disappointed. They will really help out in recommending places/wineries/restaurants in the area to include in your trip and help organize.
