An amazing hotel with a beautiful beach.

My wife and I have now been here three times and we still look forward to returning to Doryssa Seaside Resort. And it's time to write a few words about what keeps us coming back time and time again. As soon as we arrive, we are greeted professionally and friendly by Spyros Liakakis' front desk staff. They really do their utmost to accommodate our wishes and needs. We have stayed both in the hotel and in the village, and have become particularly fond of the village. There is something unique about this part of the resort, especially for us who come from further north in Europe. The houses in bricks and stone are small, but large enough to get the feel of intimacy and coziness. They are quite close to each other without compromising privacy. Some of the good things about the Doryssa Seaside Resort is the proximity of both the sandy beach and lush lawn behind it, the pool and good restaurants at the resort. Our favorites was Koyros and Pnoe with its beautiful seafront location. The fact that it is only a 15-minute walk to charming Pythagorion, is also nice. When everything from rooms and apartments to the facility in general is kept clean and tidy, it's only top score from us. We will keep coming back.

Lovely hotel. A bit dated in some common parts. Great location right next to beach, with great beach bar that you could get drinks and food delivered to your sun bed. Cushions on sun beds which was good, with plenty on the beach and pool side. Bedroom was good sized and a comfy bed. Only downside was the lack of storage space and no kettle in room if you wanted a hot drink. There is a fridge and a safe. Only downside was breakfast, hot food wasn’t at all hot…. cold plates as well. Omelette man did a good trade as that at least was hot. Cold meats etc were fine, lots of choice. Usual queue at coffee machines which can’t be helped. Walked into Pythagorio every night as only 15 mins max walk on a good path. Loads of choice of restaurants, with a lovely harbour. Very near the airport but flights not obtrusive as very few in a day. Hired a car from the hotel office in the square, reasonable and easy to get around. Would come back again as Samos beautiful.

When you force yourself to get up at 8 just to head out to the beach to get a sunbed- and they are already all taken. The hotel has far from enough sundbeds for the people staying. Don’t take the full board. It just the same buffé for lunch and dinner and it’s really not very interesting at all. Hard to find info about what was included but I was hoping for more. One small soda is 5 euro. Crazy. The cleaning of the room is great though, but why no peg hooks on the walls anywhere in the room?

Lovely beach and beautiful clear blue water. Not all the cushions for the sun beds had arrived for when we stayed at the hotel, so we had to lie on the hard beds. You can order drinks to the beach which is ideal and the staff is friendly. We had a junior suite with seaside view, and you see the occasional plane fly by which we didn’t mind at all as it’s quite the sight to see. However, the room is in desperate need of an update, very old furniture which has been somehow glued together and very stained night stands, the mattresses are very hard. The cleaning ladies are nice but they don’t seem to hover or replenish loo rolls or the coffee, also always left the balcony door open which we found quite frustrating. The rest of the hotel is quite dated too, shame as you can see that it must have been lovely once upon a time. The restaurant by the beach is lovely and you have a great view of the sea. The staff is a little slow and can take quite some time to be able to get anyone’s attention to order, frustratingly you can see all staff grouped together talking by the bar?! We did enjoy our stay but it wasn’t what we had expected, they hired a very good photographer for the photos on their website. The town is great! So many lovely restaurants which serve delicious food, and just a 10-15 min walk from the hotel.

The Seaview from 2 floor room balcony was better than expected. (We stayed in the main hotel building).The Breakfast was outstanding couldn’t fault it 10/10 couldn’t think of anything else you could want - catered for all tastes. Room cleaned everyday- very courteous staff. Plenty of sun-beds by the pools and on the beach The Asterias beach restaurant had a chilled atmosphere- with very attentive ,informative waiters/waitresses and great views . Will return next year .
