My wife and I came to stay at Tigh Na Cloich for a night in October 2023 but our trip was besieged with travel and weather issues which affected our visit, and obviously neither of these could be attributed to Tigh Na Cloich, which was fantastic. So we committed to returning and did so for two nights in May 2024 and we were so glad we did. It's the perfect homely quiet environment which feels completely private yet is still a 2-minute walk from the main bars, restaurants & shops in Pitlochry. We stayed in room 5 both times and it was spotless with a stunning view across the countryside. There were also plenty of complimentary extras such as a large fan which was a god send during the mild weather. The bed and bathroom were also both perfect, which we can't fault whatsoever. The breakfast on both stays was also perfectly cooked, with plenty of choice and options. I had the scrambled eggs & salmon and then the full cooked breakfast and I'd highly recommend both, but I'd better the omelette and pancakes would also have been excellent choices too. You are asked to complete your breakfast choices the night before so you know what you're waking up to and I think it works perfectly for this type of stay. Once we had checked out, we were also able to leave our bags aside for a couple of hours so we could take in the amazing scenery for a final time before going home. Last but not least, both hosts Steve and Stephanie are perfect in their roles. Everything you would want from your hosts and nothing was too much to ask from either. The succinct summary would be you leave Tigh Na Cloich feeling like you've known them both forever. Also a special shout out for the handsome labrador Buster who deserves all the treats and belly rubs you have if you're lucky enough to cross paths with him. Value for money, this is the best place in Pitlochry by miles and miles. Don't go anywhere else, and we definitely won't when we return to the town.
