プラセンシア ヴィラ(Placencia Villas)

Basic accommodation but comfortable and affordable. Well placed for marine trips on the lagoon and open ocean. A wealth of local bars and restaurants, souvenir shops and grocery stores etc. Local bank with ATM. The site can provide paddle boards and a kayak along with bicycles. The new owners made us very welcome with personally provided local information along with a well written folder.

We spent a lovely 5 nights in the Angelfish apartment, which was well appointed and super comfy. The kitchenette was convenient (we had a few lunches and breakfasts there), the screened in porch a lovely spot to sit and hear the bird call, and the bedroom nice and cool thanks to the A/C unit and curtains. Lacey and Ron were gracious and helpful hosts, answering our many questions and making local recs. Great access to swimming, Momo’s (street food), and Greg’s fruit stand - where YES you want to buy the yogurt. Only downside was not staying longer!

We stayed in the Gecko Studio, a ground floor so reduced privacy and it is basic accommodation with limited amenities, (kitchenware)but some of the larger units were much nicer. It is a small space and no dresser so we lived out of suitcases. A very sociable setting as you can sit outside in the courtyard and visit with neighbours. They have bikes, paddle boards, beach chairs and a kayak for use. The hosts are very sociable and responsive to needs/requests. Location is central to everything!

I adore these people! This place is literally owned by a mom and pop, Ron and Lacy. They are awesome and hired an awesome employee named Odaliis. We couldn’t have been happier with the cute room, air conditioning, and location. We honestly were treated like family. They really didn’t have to go out of their way, but they did to make her stay as comfortable as possible. We had a great time with some of their guests that were staying there. As I said, the location is fabulous, close to shopping, the pier, bars, RESTAURANTS, and grocery stores. I can’t wait to return. I WOULD RECOMMEND

This was the second stay with them. Friendly, close to everything and easy parking. Couldnt ask for a better place to stay in the village. We will be back soon for sure

Ive stayed in placencia numerous times - glad I found this diamond in the rough. Easy parking and walking distance to everywhere you would want to go. Ill definitely be staying there again

If you want to experience the village of Placencia as a bit more than a tourist in a fancy, sterile resort, stay here. There’s no pool - go to the beach or the pier. Talk to the locals at the coffee shop or one of the restaurants right around the corner. Browse the close-by veggie and fruit stands and stock up your fridge. I enjoyed this stay and would stay again. If you leave food out you’ll see ants. Guess what? You’re in a tropical paradise. There are ants. Odalis is on the grounds during the day and is available and willing to help or answer questions.

This is a fantastic boutique hotel with the best tropical vibe and an attention to detail for a great stay. Ice cold AC, large units with everything you need for space, cooking, etc. The owners and manager will definitely take good care of you making sure you have anything you need from extra hotel amenities, dinner reservations, help booking tours, you name it.
