スプリング ホテル ビタコラ(Spring Hotel Bitácora)

I thought this hotel was going to be amazing as it was expensive to book - On arriving we had to put cases in a room until 3 pm when the rooms were released ... I was impressed with the wristbands put on our wrists as they incorporated the room key - so just had to swipe the square on the band and the door was opened . big room overlooking the pool which was okay though the shower grouting was full of the black mould on the silicone . First thing was to get some fresh milk for the room fridge as I cannot survive without endless cups of tea and had requested a kettle . Tried ALL THE SUPERMARKETS for skimmed milk but NONE to be found anywhere apart from UHT which is awful. I asked at reception after noticing at breakfast the next day the giant glass containers for milk showed cold skimmed milk - and explained that that was the only milk I drank and he was not very helpful until I reminded him that I was all inclusive which is pretty useless if I couldnt get fresh milk off them ! After a few phone calls he said the kitchen would bring some up for me - BUT when it came it was UHT MILK - which is what they fill the containers with NOT FRESH MILK. The Jet 2 rep was listening and said she too only had skimmed but that you could buy it as she always has it - but tried every supermarket there was they only had green SEMI SKIMMED so had to make do with that and watered it down . For every breakfast and evening meal the water /coffee combined machine was all they had and the HOT water was always lukewarm so couldnt even drink it. Plus for lunch a guy asked where the coffee machine was and he said he would have to go to the pool bar for one as they cordened them off at lunchtime so he couldnt have one with his lunch ! The pizza slices on offer for meals ran out very quickly and took forever to replenish - this was a habit of theirs same food most days and nights - the weetabix i only discovered 3 days later was stuck with the salads but tasted stale ???? and the other cereals were very sugary apart from alpen like ones. the cooked breakfasts looked good with the eggs / bacon. The day of the BIG match BETWEEN MAN CITY AND UNITED we asked where it was on telly? But the staff just shrugged and each one was very unhelpful......so the men went to watch it at a bar elsewhere - until we noticed it was actually ON in our bar lounge but the hotel had not advertised it as they would have had a `crowd` for free drinks and instead only unlocked the outer door at 4PM an hour into the match and about 8 viewers!!! which is very mean spirited!! The first night after closing the fridge door a `COCKROACH APPEARED from underneath which freaked me out as we where on the 7th floor!!! A further cockroach appeared in the bathroom a few days later. The cleaners were hit and miss - cups were left unwashed etc. The pool bar was always crowded for food as it was like the mcdonald menus - were you had to order on the screens provided - plus the only ice cream on offer was V

First off the hotel in itself is great, lovely pool area, slides for the kids, plenty of loungers and an adults only pool. Rooms are adequate, cleaners are in daily and the beds are really comfortable. Even the sofa bed is massive and extremely comfortable. No issues with the cleanliness. The bad point, and it's a big point...the food offered at lunch and dinner is shocking and not geared for the UK pallet whatsoever, certainly not at this time of the year anyway. Breakfast is fine and lulls you into a false sense of security, when you hit the restaurant for lunch you're in for a shock! Thankfully the food offered at the pool bar is really good, burgers, chips, toasties, pizza etc so you can do lunch there with no issue. As for dinner we had to eat out every single night. I'm sure some people will find the food good but for most I would suggest you'll struggle! It's a pity the hotel, in my opinion, is let down by the food choice, especially if you have paid for all inclusive as otherwise it's a great hotel in a good location.

I'd probably give 4.5 if I could and not 4 stars. It's a very nice hotel to stay in. The rooms are lovely and a good size for 4. The bathroom is very good as well. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend paying that little bit extra for a pool view as the view is unbelievable and higher up the better, we had the 7th, and it was unbelievable. Also, the rooms without a pool view would not have a great view at all. The food it offers at breakfast and dinner is very good for buffet style hotel food. It covers all different options, and you really couldn't ask for much more. You get a bracelet as your room key, so you never misplace it, and also, when ordering food or drink at the pool bar, you just tap it, and it's added to your room bill. The 2 pools for families are nice, and the slides are great fun, which the kids love. They have really good and fun games in the pool for all the family to take part in during the day and all the staff work so hard and are really friendly. The only downside and the only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is the pool loungers. After the first two mornings, I released to get a half decent area around the pool. I would have to get up at 7.50am and go down to the pool, and if you were not there by 9.30 am, you may not get a pool lounger at all. If they opened up the 3rd pool space, which is adults only to families aswell the hotel would be a perfect family hotel with plenty of space for everyone. Saying this, I still had a very nice stay here, and all the family enjoyed it, and I would recommend staying here.

This hotel is absolutely amazing, my son was completely obsessed with it, the rooms are beautiful and the staff are great. There are plenty of good quality food options and it was just a dream. There is also lots to do around the hotel as the main ***** is not far nor is the beach.

When we arrived family of 6 adults and a baby, we learnt that we're overbooked, we were put up in their sister hotel Vulcano. We were upgraded from half board to All inclusive from the start, the staff could not have apologised enough and accommodated us for the inconvenience. They have an UP! bar where adults only are allowed, we used this in various days. The pool and pool bar was open after breakfast and we used this many times. The room were cleaned every day if needed and all staff were amazing. Food there was a wide range of local and English food available. I would highly recommend this hotel for half board and All inclusive There is a photographer in the hotel and if you speak to them they will take pictures of your holiday from start to finish or arrange a photoshoot.

Just back from a weeks stay in this hotel. We checked in and were given our wrist bands to wear for our stay. The band is used as your key to enter your room but you can also pay (add to your tab) for things at the pool bar for drinks / snacks. We were asked to download the Hello Spring Hotel app. I would recommend doing this before you go. You can use this to connect to your room WiFi & also to keep an eye on your tab. We stayed in room 732 which is a pool view room. The room was immaculate & modern. There is a hair dryer in the room but no iron or kettle. There was a lovely coffee machine but no pods. There is also a shampoo/conditioner & body wash inside the shower which were so nice. There is a mini fridge you can use. We took some water & stored this in there and we bought more water & snacks every day from the supermarket across the road. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided if needed. The room has air conditioning but I didn’t realise until the next day that I had to turn it on at the wall. It was really warm in the room at night. We were worried about the sunbed situation and we saw people at 7am putting their towels on the sunbeds. We did witness a lifeguard going round and bagging the towels up if they were unattended for so long. We never had any problems getting a bed though. FYI You are allowed rings in the pool but no bed style floaties. You can hire a pool towel for €10 Euro at reception & you will get your money back when you return it. You can get these after 10am from the lifeguard just to the left as you enter the adult pool area. You can swap for a clean one every day if you wish. We were half board. The food was great. We were never once disappointed in anything we ate. Plenty of selection. Breakfast - toast, eggs, beans, bacon, sausages or pastries such as churros, or waffles with Nutella. Dinner - Different things every night including paella, steak & pasta. My favourite was the Mexican style they had out one night. The hotel had daytime games at the pool which my two who are 12 & 13 LOVED being involved in. We didn’t make use of the night entertainment because that’s not our thing but they did have something on every night. There is also 2 games rooms in the hotel which the kids loved & we played pool a few times. There is a bus stop just across the road which run free buses to take you to Siam Park / Siam Mall which we used and they were fab. The hotel is a short walk to the beach which we walked nearly every day and went along all the shops. All hotel staff were very friendly to us & we could see they work very hard. The bad bits we found were, someone in the room above us or next to us was smoking grass & we had to shut the balcony door at times. Also a few people smoking around the pool. The BFG must have moved in upstairs & rearranged the room for 3 days because it was constant banging. My partner was unwell for 2 days. I caught it before coming home & had to travel home severel

Honest review - we had a brilliant holiday here as a family and will 100% go back! We stayed in a standard room and only downfall our patio light was blew, everything was lovely in the room. With a full room of 4 it was a bit tight around the door area with suitcases etc but not an issue (imagine many hotels would be the same when full) Entertainment staff were all lovely, especially Anna, we just LOVED her! My kids enjoyed the entertainment during the day but loved the waterslides/pool the most! They never left the water on days we stayed at the hotel. Any staff we encountered were all friendly, servers at pool bar came across a bit stressed on a few days but it was normally busy and this was our only thing we could say… staff were lovely. Photographer took some class water shots for us by the pool and ever some underwear ones which are class to have gotten. Place was clean and tidy throughout. We did go to the family spa one day and really enjoyed it, especially the kids. We actually hoped to go back but ran out of time. My only negative score was the food - Great choice if you were able to eat everything/anything.. ie pastries, cakes etc. We were a family with allergies so we did struggle at times for choice/changes. Staff did inform us before we arrived we could request different but when we were at hotel we found the language barrier too much to explain and ask, (hold my hands up, I could have been more organised for language barrier) we never starved but also struggled with limited choices on some days. Also hot water for tea in breakfast was never hot enough for my liking but there was a microwave there to heat it (see few others). Would we return for sure!

Currently staying here just now and had kind of ignored the negative reviews as theres always negative people however wish i had listened now , if your coming with kids and booking for the slides and kids stuff make sure your kids are over 1.1m tall as will be not aloud to use even if even the slightest bit under my 4 year old was devastated, staff are also rude and everything takes ages to open in the morning. Food is cold, if you leave your beds unattended you will get a 15m timer then your towels will be put in a bin bag. Hotel appears clean and modern that is about the only plus side so far do yourself a favour and dont bother booking. Also the kids pool is completely shadowed by the hotel so no sun till afternoon

It's just not good to enough for the price, I feel like the rest of the reviews must have been written by the owners because I'm confused about how anyone could think this was a well run hotel. It looks nice, modern and clean, but it's impossible to get a space by the pool and queues to get drinks at the bar at night are minimum 25 minutes. The entertainment at night is poor and the food is way way below average. I'd rate this as a three star hotel. I'm here now and I'm really regretting booking it. Would really urge people to choose somewhere else.
