When: May2024 Who: Group of friends in our 30s ARRIVAL; - We arrived late and as the bar shuts at 11 we couldn’t even get a glass of water and were sent to the supermarket ROOMS; - Bigger than expected we had a bedroom living room and bathroom - Bathroom decent size and good walk in shower - Good size balcony with table and chairs - Although it was ‘cleaned’ daily I wonder what they did as dirt remained on the floor the whole time and sheets were not the most clean either - The walls are made of paper - the NOISE you can hear outside & inside the hotel is unbelievable FOOD; - Breakfast is standard the usual bacon eggs hash browns beans pancakes all on offer - Food got a bit repetitive but can do at a buffet on holiday - Coffee wasn’t very good - Soya milk looked like yoghurt - Unclear labelling of food - Staff in restaurant are hard working that is very clear - The pool bar does snacks at certain times before and after lunchtime - toasties baguettes ice cream etc - this is helpful if you don’t want to go the restaurant POOLS & ENTERTAINMENT - Entertainment is non existent, just music played by the pool which suited us anyway - 3 pools - 1 heated, 1 not heated and 1 jacuzzi type pool too all in good shape - People seem to make their own entertainment in the evenings often taking it too far DRINKS; - Bar closes quite early - Premium drinks come at a charge - Bar staff are a bit odd & play up to those paying for drinks - Drinks are poor quality and not strong OVERALL; - If you like Blackpool Benidorm Rhyl etc this might be for you - For the price you get could an actual decent holiday - Location was great, all inclusive wasn’t worth it could easily go out everyday - Close to beach supermarket shops bars etc walking distance

overall good hotel, food is fine with a different theme every night, not much on the entertainment however I was there late Nov so understandable, it's on the top of a hill so a bit of a walk to the front but loads of shop and bars around so no issue if you had to stay local. If I had to do out of 10, I'd say 6.5 maybe a 7

Had the best holiday with my boyfriend and this hotel was lovely. as a fussy eater i worry if it’s worth the all inclusive but would definitely recommend as the options of food is great. sometimes abit noisy but nothing to cause a problem. and the cleaners sometimes didn’t do the best job but overall it was a great time.

Dirty room on arrival, this was improved through the week but fridge etc remained dirty, toilet didn’t flush properly, this wasn’t fixed despite reporting. Facilities were good and breakfast was reasonable, friendly staff mostly. Would not stay here again

It's a definite NO from me, tbf the hotel itself seemed nice and clean, room unfortunately was not, and then kept finding cockroaches in my room, and also on the landing of the hotel too, totally put me off eating there, so ate out, we wasn't the only ones having problems with cockroaches. Never again!

Arrived home after a weeks stay and we had a fabulous time. There was four of us 2 were first timers at this hotel but I have been 5 times now and I honestly love this place. Hotel is absolutely spotless the cleaners do a great job and all staff are very friendly, I came all inclusive as we make use of the drinks but don't really bother with the food apart from breakfast which there's always a good choice. Only things I think would be good to change is more bar staff on as the bar is literally queued out most of the day and night and only 1 staff member working. I am sad my week is over and cannot wait to return

Rooms were very clean, in fact all areas were kept very clean. Good selection of food available and drinks. Choice of pools, one warm, one cool and jacuzzi and child pool. Lots of activities to keep you busy and the spa if you have a dull day. Staff very friendly and helpful. Many bars and restaurants nearby. Plenty of sun beds and quiet areas to chill out. Great holiday.

At the end of the 1st of a 2 week break, we are left disappointed. Having stayed here about 6 years ago, we knew it was a decent location but also knew that the hotel was a little rough around the edges. However, it's managed to sink to a lower level due to lack of cleanliness, obnoxious, blatantly rude staff, and a distinct lack of any comfortable seating/relaxing areas. It didn't start great, and unfortunately, our flight from the UK was delayed. This made our arrival around 2 hours late, which didn't please the guy on check-in. We seemed to disrupt his night. Day 6 and our towels remain unchanged. Our room has been cleaned just 3 times in this week. The TV remote doesn't work, but no matter, there are no operational English channels except for Al Jazeera and Sky news. With the exception of the odd one or two friendly staff, there is a distinct atmosphere of general disdain towards we holidaymakers. I can understand it to some degree due to the way some of our fellow Brits conduct themselves. This dislike isn't imagined and it's particularly noticeable in the dining room, where the younger staff (Rosa especially) can't hide their lack of respect for clientele. This is not even decent hospitality. And, there is literally an obsession by all dining room floorstaff to keep people off of the adjoining patio. They make a point of barricading the doors to prevent further access, and when we have been on there, we know we are treated differently. Why is there a restriction on using this space? The doors are open and people like to dine outdoors. We're sleeping OK, but the pillows are uncomfortably firm and get too warm. The shower is great! The room in general is OK but lacks bedside storage and hanging hooks/facilties. One of the drawers in the wardrobe is unusable due to damage. There are limited hanging hooks in the bathroom for towels/clothing. Around the communal spaces, there are no soft seating areas despite there being plenty of spaces to accommodate such welcoming facilities. In addition, there is no soft seating in the room apart from the bed, of course. We shall not be staying aboard again.

This hotel is in a great location 10 mins walk to the beach and main *****, supermarket and some bars right outside the main entrance. Staff friendly, extremely clean, good food, large rooms everything is great until you try to get some sleep. The balcony doors stop absolutely no noise from the outside and the room main door also does not stop any noise from inside the hotel. Loud drunken guests shouting, screaming and slamming doors from midnight until 6am and then the cleaners start talking loudly from 7am, street noise is loud bar, revellers, traffic and the bin lorries start collecting the glass bins at 2am. If you want the perfect stay at the Columbus then take earplugs and all will be ok.
