The location is in the center of 5th Avenue, which is the hotel's best feature. There are only a few chairs around the pool, so sometimes hard to get one. The hot tub never worked. Upon check-in, someone had used my toilet and overflowed it onto the bathroom floor. Just gross. They sent someone to clean it. There was always a sewer smell and fruit flies every day. The lock on the sliding door was about to fall off and 3 lights in the room did not work. When I tried to tell the front desk several times, they nodded and walked away. There were also some public areas that they could have attended to instead of standing around talking. The top of the water cooler needed to be dusted off and the sofa in the lobby has a gaping hole in it. There were always tons of leaves outside my door each morning. I was in 305 and it was right by the cleaning room, so each morning, I was woken early by the cleaning people laughing and eating and slamming doors. The size of the property and the location are its best features, but they could make it so much more. I met many Canadians and they were not too impressed either. I did like the tropical atmosphere too, but on the last night, a roach scurried across my bedroom floor. Also, at check-in, they told me I owed $10, which was a different amount than what ******* told me it would be. They didn't care even when I showed them the paper.
