Hotel Parque Tropical

Still a quiet oasis- our first stay here for a few years but it is still the best hotel in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious. The pool is lovely as is the pool bar. A very tranquil setting Highly recommended and we will be coming back again.

Located in the northern part of Playa des Ingles (sourhern Gran Canaria) and close to the sesaside, Hotel Parque Tropical is based on an original oval drawing that incorporates an impressive tropical environment. Entering the reception, all hotel areas and services (tropical environment, bar, restaurant, pool etc.) are into the oval, namely three-floors-rooms-balconies. Which means that access to most of the rooms is from the external part of the oval. On one side is located Calle El Escorial with the last stop of a number of bus lines: therefore rooms tend to be a little bit noisy. On the opposite side - entrance versus Calle El Pez - rooms are quite less noisy. Rooms and balconies are medium-large size, many of them with separated beds. Bathrooms are large but with shower curtain, which may be fastidious. Restaurant is delivered in three turns (6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 pm) in a self-service mode only. Food choice is wide while quality level is medium. Same for morning breakfast except for turns, which makes it crowdy and to some extent unpleasant. These are main rooms for improvement. Prices for restaurant extras are in a medium range (e.g. a water bottle costs 2.5€, while a red wine bottle mau cost 14 to- 25€). Hotel is located in a few-shops area and has no parking, which is not so easy to find. Finally wi-fi connection is poor.

We arrived to stay over Chris**as and were delighted to find the hotel including its gardens so beautifully decorated. It was our third stay at this hotel and were not disappoin**ent. Staff are exceptionally friendly at this hotel, from those on reception, to the lovely welcome you always got at the restaurant (they always remembered something personal about you), very prompt service in the restaurant despite the fact that it was really busy and great service at the pool bar. Our room was spacious and was very clean. It had a small fridge and room safe. No kettle/coffee maker but we did not expect one. Our balcony did not get full sun at any time of day, could be an advantage in mid summer but not at Chris**as time. All entertainment which was better than average was provided outside at the pool bar (heaters/blankets available). Entertainment over Chris**as eve and Chris**as day was very good, the gospel Choir on Chris**as day was amazing! Plenty of tables available even though hotel was full. Back door of hotel lets you out onto a long walk beside the sea, you can walk/run as far as you wish. Nice beach for swimming within a few hundred meters of the hotel. Quite a lot of steps for those running/walking some might like the exercise for others could be a problem. We stayed half board as did most guests. Lunch was good value at the pool bar and usually had some form of entertainment during lunch. Those staying at the hotel were mostly from Germany and many were in the older age group. Food was buffet style but was of very good quality and frequently refreshed. Great variety of food. Really enjoyed their Chris**as day dinner. For a 4 star hotel we had a really great stay.

A wonderful hotel with a beautiful tropical garden. We really appreciated having the cats around, all so well taken care of❤️ The food is really good and they have varied dishes. All the staff are really nice and they create a pleasant a**osphere. Our third time here and we are definitely coming back again.

Long queues at the bars, lack of seating during entertainment. Emblem Sports bar closed due to kids club glamping during England World Cup semi final. What is going on? We paid a lot of money for the Emblem experience, many as well poured it down the drain.

Incredibly good, totally recommended, amazing staffs, amazing vives amazing buffet food, thank you in special to Juan, the metre andDavid, the cook, and everyone we felt like at home! Every one were really welcoming, right next to the beach, a quiet beach, the food amazing quality to be buffet! Totally recommended

This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and it did not disappoint. This hotel is great value for money. Good sized rooms with a nice balcony overlooking the extensive pool. Plenty of sunbeds although the hotel appeared to be almost fully booked so early in the season. Out a back door of the hotel there is a lovely walkway along a very long beach you can walk as far as you want! We were booked half board and given the price of the hotel the food was really excellent. A little queue at peak times to get seated. Lunch was available at the hotel and was very reasonable and good quality. Often they would have a special event at lunchtime such as a fashion show with clothes for sale. Close to all local amenities. Overall we were very pleased with this hotel and will very likely return later this year or early next year.

We stayed here for 2 weeks this summer, the hotel is beautiful, spotless and the grounds are really lovely and maintained so well. The staff are friendly and work so hard especially the pool bar staff. The evening entertainment is very good. We had breakfast included in our stay which was of good variety. The pool is lovely but has a downfall which is the kids pool area, the water here was very warm, the sunbeds at the kids pool had no umbrella and people are able to smoke just behind the sunbeds at the kids pool. The hotel is really lovely but in our opinion more suited to couples rather than families.

The hotel staff went above and beyond with their help in getting the room i requested and marked our anniversary with a chilled bottle of sparkling wine waiting in our room on arrival.The staff in the restaurant were all helpful and very friendly and the receptionists sorted out a kettle and a mattress topper for us. The grounds are amazing with tropical plants,water features and lovely seating areas and the pool was warm and big enough to cater for everybody. I cant wait to come back to stay again,and we dont often return to the same hotel!!
