ラタヌイ ロッジ(Ratanui Lodge)

I took a group of 20 people for dinner last week. Zahids & staff were very welcoming and friendly, the service was 5 star , the food was excellent as was the atmosphere. I would highly reccomend to anyone visiting Pohara. The feed back I also got from a couple of folk I spoke to staying in the lodge was also very good rooms excellent ,the lodge had arecend refurbishment. Thanks also to Zahid for driving to Takaka afterwards to drop off a jacket someone left behind ! ( I won't say who !!?)

First impressions were of a 5 star property. We were welcomed by the general manager Zahid with a cold drink and a very personal greeting. The rooms have been redone as well as the reception area and restaurant. The pool, while small, is a respite, refreshing, and surrounded by a flower garden. We throughly enjoyed the area, the peaceful setting, the staff, and the fantastic meals. While located across the road from the beach, this provides a more intimate and relaxing setting. Thank you to the food and beverage team, the cheerful and efficient house keepers, and Zahid and Christine, the hardworking and dedicated managers.

We were welcomed by Mark who lives next door, the room we were allocated was spotlessly clean and well furnished with a beautiful outlook over a small lake, the breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked, Mel and Mark are both friendly welcoming hosts, Mark recommended a fabulous local restaurant where we had a delicious dinner, all in all my husband and I had a wonderful time, we would highly recommend

We loved our stay at Ratanui Lodge - beautifully designed and very comfortable, with every wish catered for. Friendly staff, great location, delicious dinner - a wonderful place to explore Golden Bay and the area.

We spent four nights at the lodge. We found the staff very friendly and helpful with advice that ensured our visit was a memorable one. The rooms were comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished. The restaurant food is exceptional and this includes breakfast! A special thanks to Christine, Chiara and Zahed for looking after us. We’d highly recommend a visit to Ratanui Lodge after our enjoyable stay.

Excellent client service and upscale feel to the entire property. While a bit “off the beaten path”, was really quiet, much less commercialized but we were treated to a beautifully appointed room, a fine dining meal and atmosphere with superb service and quality.

This place exceeded all of our (high) expectations - an excellent place to stay and eat.

Property & location are both amazing! All staff are also great. Perfect location for a quiet get away. Local knowledge & recommendations were greatly appreciated! Thanks for hosting us & providing all the special attention + touches.
