Old hotel. Needs full renovation. It was our fourth and last stay at this hotel. The hotel has degraded constantly over the last years. Not at all a 4 star hotel. No investments, everything looks old and deplorable. The room, a junior suite one, old furnished, antique bathroom. The main restaurant Tosca very crowded, but even more frustrating low quality service and even lower quality food for a 4 star hotel. There is a very big discrepancy between the offer and the prices which have grown constantly and consistently.

We stayed for 2 nights in a two-bedroom apartment. We have a baby and a toddler, and we needed the space. The rooms were very spacious, we had a terrace, a bathroom in each bedroom, Rituals amenities. BUT... I will never understand why in Romania people simply accept some things that shouldn't be accepted. I'll start with the good parts Good parts: staff was very friendly - room service, reception, spa, restaurant. The breakfast was amazingly diverse and good. Even though I don't necessarily like buffets, because of the food that's exposed, we didn't catch any stomach bug :D; fruits, pastry, hummus, waffles, eggs, sausages, yogurt, juice... everything, honestly! And there are two restaurants in which you can serve breakfast, which is good, as in weekends there are a lot of people. Diversity of restaurants. Lots of activities. Bad parts: the cleanliness - I mean come on... I have no idea where is the root problem (management or cleaning staff), but it should be fixed! The bathrooms had red mold, calcar, and not a super clean toilet. These are things that CAN and SHOULD be cleaned. I get that you can't clean the mold, for ex, after every single customer, BUT you won't have to do this IF you'd maintain it... And there are so many detergents and solutions that can be applied and they instantly removed the calcar and the mold... Do you live like this at home?? Do you like the toilet to have yellow marks? How do other customers just go by with this?! Also... full-on carpets in the rooms are not hygienic at all. How do you disinfect them? I'm certain the majority enter the room with their street shoes, hence...there's dirt and bacteria that can't be vacuumed. The couch and the armchairs were in such bad shape... They even had spots on them... We placed some towels on them and then we stayed... The furniture was dated, also. All of it. White marks from cups on the table. Wallpaper that's coming off, wood splints that had a thick layer of dust on them, plus they were broken (and these were all around the hotel) We had a terrace, but I was not willing to step on it as it was dirty. I'm sure the air conditioners weren't cleaned for a long time... The doors from the room weren't closing properly. The drapes and curtains were definitely not cleaned - spots and ripped then sewed... The kitchen sink was also dirty. I mean... come on... The pool area was also in a bad shape - I wasn't feeling comfortable stepping on the floor with bare feet. The toilets from there... oh.. they were dirty, small... The hotel exterior was also in a bad shape... Just go and look at it, it definitely doesn't look like it's taken care of. The closed play area has a small room with a door that wasn't closing properly, and it didn't seem very clean. The parking area is extremely small for how many rooms there are. There was a garbage smell around the parking area, and garbage all around. All in all...not cool. And the apartment wasn't cheap, you know. We paid over 555 euros for

This was our first visit here after many, many years and we can only hope to come back ASAP! The double luxe room, spacious and clean room. The staff friendly and welcoming and they all are very professional. The food was very tasty, it was a buffet, not very varied but it could satisfy the needs of a vegetarian. We love it! I would recommend this hotel to couples as well as families .

General – the hotel is nowhere near the 4-star class, chronically understaffed, and has significant maintenance issues. Firstly – the parking was impossible, and neither was the valet. We spend at least 15 minutes trying to find someone to help us with parking… The staff is nice, but whoever is on call is pulled in 10 different directions and can not be available to all the customers simultaneously. Secondly – when we finally made it into our room, both mini fridges were out, one of the AC remotes was missing, and our phones weren’t working (we couldn’t call reception, concierge, or any of the restaurants on the property). Every issue or request resulted in a lengthy trip across buildings and staying in line to talk to the receptionist (very frustrating). The night before, we stayed in the Presidential Suite of Mercure Sigishoara, which was cheaper (140 euros /night), comparable in size, and had none of the issues. Thirdly - we contacted the management and **********, and almost (we got a bottle of warm champagne and a cheese plate) nothing was done to rectify the situation. So, unless this is hotel of "last resort" -- simply AVOID IT. Lastly, I want to commend Alexandru, who was extremely helpful and tried to go out of his way to help us out. He is the only one who made us feel welcome.

TMC Group would like to share its experience in organizing a corporate event on November 05/November 06 at Alpin Hotel Resort&Spa. Words are just not enough to express the gratitude we have for the whole team which helped make this event a resounding success, especially to Andrea Marcu for the way she responded to every request we had. We are grateful to the entire reception team, thanks to them from the beginning, the event had a good start with a fast check-in for the guests. The accommodations were wonderful, clean, and with a gorgeous mountain view. After such a great start the day continued with a delicious lunch in the APROPOS restaurant. Plenty and varied food that would satisfy the tastes of even the most demanding guest. Our event ended with a campfire in the garden of the Forest restaurant and followed by a special festive dinner that was highly appreciated by our client. The service was impressive, fast, and hassle-free; the food was excellent and the corporate event was a success thanks to everyone who went above and beyond. We are extremely grateful to the best DJs who animated the party so well with their music, thanks to them the party was extended by another hour. We will definitely return soon with new requests to Alpin Hotel Resort&Spa and it will be one of our destinations for future corporate events. TMC team

Very nicely managed hotel. Service desk and everyone in the office is very pleasant and happy to help. Good size room, beds are comfortable and bathroom is good sized and clean. Breakfast buffet is very rich and tasty. So many items to choose from and coffees and drinks are good as well. I was impressed by everything at Alpin Resort and I will definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful time in Poiana Brasov. Good work everyone. Thank you for making our stay very enjoyable.

We were impressed by the hotel/services/employees. It is truly a 4-star hotel from the rooms to the breakfast, the Spa center is wonderful. You had another strong point when we booked and you were very kind to inform us that the bed is very big and that the little girl can sleep with us, and only if we really want an extra bed do you offer us this service. Others jumped from the start with an extra bed and extra cost to the room. ️ What was a bit strange when we went down to have lunch at 15:00, the Forest restaurant was not open yet, and Tosca was full and we had to wait 30 minutes. Specially, we went down to the table later to find a place in one of the 2 restaurants, but it seems that it was not so easy, but it was something relatively minor and for dinner we learned our minds and made a reservation. On the day of departure, that is Friday, the girl found that she had lost an earring after returning from the pool, the staff were kind both at the pool and at the reception and they said that if it is found we will be contacted. The little one left upset for 3 reasons: the vacation was too short in this beautiful place, she lost an earring and the part was not very good for skiing, but I promised her that we would try to come back during the summer.
