It is a beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious and we received great service. We loved the pool area, it was beautiful and well maintained. The beach area, was not so nice. It was kind of rough and I thought dangerous. I was expecting something like the San Juan Hilton beach. Other than that, everything else in the hotel was excellent.

I stopped in for a couple days on business. It was a peaceful stay during the week. Staff at the front desk, restaurant and housekeeping were superb, courteous, attentive and friendly. My room was impeccable and had a great ocean view (west tower). The hotel holds it's own although there hasn't been a renovation since inauguration, but I would certainly recommend to families, couples and solo travelers looking for a great getaway; especially away from the San Juan Metropolitan area. There was also an abundance of parking and a wonderful open-air lobby to compliment my stay. I couldn't ask for much more........and quite possibly the ONLY hotel on the island that doesn't charge resort fees.

The hotel staff was top notch. Very knowledgeable and professional. Wait staff and bartenders friendly and kind. Pool staff and cleaning staff hard working and dedicated to making our stay comfortable The hotel is dated and in need of a face lift. Although our room was clean, it was dated and in need of some basic maintenance I’m glad I went but I don’t think I’d return because of this

Zero stars was not an option. Booked the room via phone because of an event. We asked for two rooms with 2 queen beds. Arrive and we were given king beds. They were full, they said. Ok. We will try to make it work. But when we arrived at the room I wondered if we had wondered into a cheap motel. The room had a worrisome odor and weird stains on the furniture. The room was very very dated. Not at all what you expect from a Hilton. I called the desk and asked for a new room and was told again they were full. It’s 3:30p. I couldn’t have possibly been the last person to check in. I called Hilton and waited on hold for 25 min while they contacted the front desk but their call dropped. So they escalated the call. The CSR looked at the reservation and said “Oh. You’re checked in. I could have helped you if you hadn’t checked in.” How would I know that there was a problem if I hadn’t checked in?! She sent me back to the front desk to speak to the mgr who told us again that there were no rooms. He was polite but I disagreed. Give me another room and fix this odor and stain issues before the next guest. We opted to leave. Even with the room block discount it was too darn expensive to be spending the night in a foul smelling room. Don’t stay here unless you don’t mind spending $300 a night in a cheap motel

I decided to stay here after reading mixed reviews about this hotel. Great employees. Great service. Yes, rooms are a bit outdated but very clean and cozy. Only thing was the door on the balcony didnt quite work and hotel lacks entertainment. Bit boring if you are looking to dance or party. Other than that, great quiet place to stay, relax and enjoy the pool and beach.

I have a very honest review to present, please take note, if you are thinking of staying at Ponce Hilton. 1. My husband and I stayed here for Labor day weekend (Thursday through Monday). The hotel is so incredibly run down. The room was clean, but super old. The couch had stains, the furniture is so outdated, the doors scratched and the bathroom horrible. The sliding door didn't lock was broken. 2. The only good meal you can expect to have is breakfast. The rest was comparable to a Golden Corral at best. Food was super expensive, salty, dry... nothing was fresh. I mean, Applebee's has better food. 3. Drinks were watered down. My husband ordered an old fashioned - watered down and disgusting. 4. The pool smelled like urine. The water was super cloudy and stinky. It was in and out for me and my husband. We couldn't take it. Headed out of the hotel most of the time as we couldn't stand to stay there. 5. NOTHING TO DO! Unless you are into cheap ****** stuff. Ghetto! 6. It is my recommendation that you look into the Westin Rio Mar in Rio Grande. We couldn't stay there as it is being renovated and it will be fully reopen for Christmas 2024, so sad. 6. If you book Hilton, you will regret it. Don't say you haven't been warned.

We recently stayed at this “resort” from Feb 14-20 (technically left on the 19th due to a 2am flight on the 20th) and wanted to give an honest review of our experience-our total cost without extras for meals was approximately $1800 for a ground floor ocean front king. This was an unexpected visit due to a family member being placed on hospice so we were looking for a relatively stress free/ relaxing environment. Upon arrival it wasn’t super clear where we were supposed to go; to be fair it was late but the signage wasn’t great. Pros-the view was fantastic and the resort itself was very pretty. The rooms was spacious and the main area was clean. Tv worked without issue and housekeeping staff was friendly and thorough. Having the patio was nice as well and the air conditioning was good. The location was also great as it was an easy drive to most area things. Cons-the resort/ rooms are extremely dated and are in desperate need of an upgrade. The bathroom in particular looked extremely worn and old. The WiFi was almost non-existent in the room and mostly our phones just read “SOS” because the connection was so poor-super inconvenient as I’m a doctoral student and had to log in for a class (this was addressed with the front desk). The pool could use an upgrade and the resort really should have a second pool for the amount of guests. On Sunday it was packed and they ran out of towels. On Monday it wasn’t packed and they STILL ran out of towels. So we’re paying a resort fee and had to walk back to our room for bath towels to use at the pool? Unacceptable. There is also no oversight at the hot tubs or pool and despite multiple signs young kids were jumping in and splashing around, definitely not under supervision of parents or resort staff. The beach, while pretty, is not really a swimmable beach so keep that in mind. Also, about 2/3 of the way through the stay, the shower stopped working and water was coming out at a trickle. As I’m writing this, it’s 830pm and maintenance is still here trying to fix it so we can’t shower or rest. When we finally checked out, there was no “how was your stay” etc… If Hilton is billing this as a “resort” with higher than average prices and an accompanying resort fee then they need to ensure they provide a “resort” experience which they absolute failed to do at the bare minimum level. Would definitely not stay here again and I do plan to email the GM because in site staff wasn’t incredibly responsive to the myriad of issues.

We stayed for 2 weeks review,The staff were Great!! Clean Hotel, Staff followed up ASAP when called. Bar Food and service was very good 100 inch sport Tv while dinning. Buffet was OK, Dinning area wonderful and clean. Security was great, Golf course was worst course I have played. Hilton spend very little money on grass seed. Tee Box's only fair, fairways poor sand and low cut weeds. Greens fair many have black dirt surface you have to pitt threw. 55-60 dollars per round not bad. Remember only Couse close to resort. I would stay again not so long next time. Dennis Wilson!

A define must stay. I am picky as picky can be and this hotel impresses. The front desk staff are amazing - warm inviting helpful fast courteous. The rooms are amazing. Fairly large. Fantastic porches with gorgeous views. Literally one can sit on the porch and listen and see the waves crash all day. The breakfast spread is impressive as well. A bit packed on the weekend but if you go early it’s empty. We stayed at the Waldorf in Cabo recently and this hotel is better in all ways. Did I mention the staff? Really super great and they are on it!!

My family and I just arrived home after a 3 day trip to Puerto Rico. This was our first visit to the island and accomplished our goals: unplug, go to the beach, and see some sunshine. We booked Hilton Ponce for a few reasons. The first being that I've always had good luck with Hiltons, and because we read the reviews -- some good, some bad. Unfortunately I should have given the bad reviews a bit more attention. When we checked in, we weren't told anything about the resort. No one told us where to get towels, times the pool opened/closed, what time they locked and unlocked the gate for the beach, if we had to make reservations ahead of time to eat -- literally nothing. It was "name, how many nights, is this the credit card you want to use, here's your key" and that was it. Which at the time didn't seem like too big of a deal, but then it irked me after we had to figure everything out on our own. For a resort, I would have appreciated knowing the lay of the land and times, etc. To say the hotel was dated is a bit of an understatement. Not only is it dated, but it's not in great condition at all. To me, dated means older tiling styles and past floral patterns. But the grout was dirty, the floors were sticky, the bathroom was borderline gross. There were little bugs on the countertops (I expected that on the island, but still gross nonetheless). The faucet was cold water, the shower was only hot water which is very uncomfortable after a day in the sun. The food was the biggest disappointment. Our first night I ordered the Caribbean salad and fish tacos from Bohio, expecting a nice topping of fresh fruits and crisp lettuce. Instead, what I got was shredded cabbage, and tiny diced pieces of fruit that didn't even taste fresh. The fish tacos were so bland I couldn't even finish them. My daughter got the chicken fingers and fries which were very bland as well. I don't even remember what the rest of the family ordered. The continental breakfast included pastries and cereal ONLY, and since we had a family of four we opted to get the full hot breakfast. The food then was ok at best. The dinner buffet was better. Beware: if you want to dine at La Cava, make a reservation. We went in, checked the menu and decided it sounded good, only to be told the next availability was at 8:30 pm (far too late when traveling with children). The pool was SO disappointing. It was crammed every day. For a resort this size, there definitely should have been another pool. There is plenty of space on the property to add one!! All of the games and activities were steps away from the pool, which is great for convenience, but it felt like the entire guest population was in the same area all the time. We came for a relaxing time on the island and instead it felt overwhelming at times. Tip: if you want a seat at the pool, you better wake up and grab towels early to save your spot! We stayed at the Hilton Ponce as a group of 15 in 7 rooms. The resort is a bit dated (renovations are in the near future plans though!) but the General Manager Yassette runs an amazing. Team Her customer service is above and beyond and perhaps the best I have seen She resolved an issue we had with the utmost attention and care. A nice clean hotel, the resort has pickle ball courts and miniature golf which are fun short activities of going with the family.
