フェアブリッジ イン & スイーツ サンドポイント(FairBridge Inn and Suites Sandpoint)

FairBridge looks like an older hotel, but Management has done a good job of keeping it clean, maintained and have worked to update rooms (finishes, furnishings, digital PTAC's, etc.). My one night stay was comfortable, room was clean and well put together. Complimentary breakfast for a property of this size was sufficient with two Golden Malted waffle makers, cold and instant hot cereals, boiled eggs, fruit (apples this time of year), coffee, teas, milk and at least one juice choice. Though the hotel was quiet on the night of my stay, I would guess given the age of original construction, sound proofing is not likely up to current standards, so if one is overly sensitive to outside disturbances, it may not be the right choice during peak ski season. But for the rest of us, is absolutely satisfactory.

The night shift front desk woman was exceptionally friendly and occommodating. Given the late arrival, she allowed a much appreciated noon checkout. The hot tub is open 24 hrs, so the midnight wind-down soak after a long drive was amazing!! The room and the overall facility were very clean and tidy, and the a**osphere and decor were very quaint, like a mountain lodge. A complimentary breakfast was offered, I believe, from 6 to 9 AM, but that wasn't happenin', I was burrowed into the comfy bed and puffy pillows. Maybe next time.

The ladies at the front desk were exceptional. For me never having been to this area they took the time to help me find the places I needed to go.

Overall this Fairbridge is a great spot to stay if you're going to ski Schweitzer, I'll cover the good and the "needs improvement". The Good: * Wonderful friendly staff * The ski season chili is a very nice touch * Good chill vibe * Ski tuning room being available is also very nice * The hot tub is welcome. Needs Improvement: * Power *****s in the rooms are old and frankly unsafe. * Some wall sockets need replaced (again, old and worn out) * More power access (aka more plugs in the wall) in rooms would be nice (but i know this is a more significant fix than the above too) * The Wifi access point layout is poorly planned, and the radio setup is incorrect (put everything on one SSID, use a proper coverage planner that accounts for walls, use 20mhz channels on 2.4ghz, 40mhz channels on 5Ghz, 80Mhz channels on 6Ghz)

Great little place for a few days stay. Super friendly staff and pet friendly. Nice little breakfast area with soft biscuits and sausage gravy.

This hotel is a great value. The hospitality was superb. My truck battery died, and the desk clerk gave me a jump in the November rain! The breakfast is mostly carbohydrates. Some protein and fiber would be a nice addition.

Room was ridiculously small for a $200 a night room (or even a $100 a night room). Room smelled of mildew, AC would cut off and would not turn back on, access to power outlets was difficult (no outlets built into lamps, had to unplug the alarm clock). King sized bed was extremely uncomfortable and only had one nightstand. Will never ever be coming back to this hotel ever again. Left a day early due to how uncomfortable the bed was.

Liked the rustic a**osphere & breakfast bar - a bit expensive tho

The room seemed clean but smelled strongly of Ben ***. Bed was comfortable. Building was dingy & run down. Lobby staff were unfriendly.
