Just back from a 10 day stay here. We had a superior 2 bed apartment for a family of 4. It was absolutely gorgeous. All pale colours and linen fabrics. Kitchen really well equipped. The beds were super comfy, great bed linens. Showers in bathrooms wonderful. Huge balconies with seating. Felt like no expense spared. The villas are situated around a circular pool. It’s not heated and whilst it was 30 plus degrees outside, it sometimes felt a little cold. Kids didn’t seem to mind though! The pool is perfect for young children as it’s quite shallow and there is a ridge all the way round that you can stand up on. Sun loungers incredibly comfortable and no fight for them in the mornings!! The resort itself is lovely. We paid extra for breakfast a few mornings which was really good. Everyone was very fresh. We ate lunch at the pool bar a few times and it was good for pool bar food. Staff were wonderful and friendly and didn’t bother you. The whole vibe of the place was very relaxed. Electric bikes you can borrow for no charge. Supermarket 10 minute walk away with great produce (we had the spatchcock chicken a number of times and good fresh fish counter) Get a car to travel around a bit as not much going on in the area- beaches are lovely and Tasca 26 very very good. We would have liked the pool bar to stay open in the evenings for a drink as there wasn’t a night time vibe at all. Hope to return, was a really lovely stay.

Very nice location not too big with nice amenities Our apartment was very cosy, very well equipped Walking distance to beach Super friendly staff Breakfast diverse and good (sometimes quite busy when too many people at the same time) Lunch / snacks also recommended Indoor Pool and Jacuzzi warm water 32+ degrees; outdoor pool a little cold beg. April Paddle and Tennis courts with equipment nice and flexible to use

The most perfect resort!! The pictures don’t do it justice. The villas were spectacular with every amenity you could think of including heated towel bars and the most upgraded appliances including washer/dryer! Was pristine and modern, a true peace of heaven. So close to Benagil Cave, electric bikes were great to take to the beach or grocery store. 25 kin from north Portimao and Albufiera. It was quiet and secluded yet close to everything. I would not look further and highly recommend for your stay!!

We had a perfect stay. Beautiful apartments, stylishly furnished with the best equipment. We loved the lounge terraces surrounding the apartment and the beautifully landscaped garden with flowers. We enjoyed the tranquility of the park, the kindness of the staff, the swimming pool, the fitness and the tennis court. The electric bikes were great for exploring the area. Nice restaurants and beautiful beaches in the close area.

We had a short, but fantastic stay. This property is very nice, clean and the apartment was roomy and cozy. We liked the decor, which is coastal minimalist 😉 The area is very quite and we slept well. We will be back !

We are getting married in Sept in Porches and decided, without ever staying there, to stay there at that time and also recommend our guests to stay there - all based off reviews and pictures. We took a trip to check it out this week as we were nervous we had recommended people to stay somewhere we ourselves had never stayed. We had also booked an event for day two so we really did want to ensure it was as good as the reviews have said. We needn’t have worried. It’s better than we could have hoped for and has left us so excited to return in August for 2 and a half weeks. It’s genuinely one of the most fantastically beautiful resorts. The decor, architecture, gardens, swimming pools, staff, service - everything. We can fault nothing. Pedro was very attentive throughout our stay and met us to discuss our event and the food for the day after. Unknowingly to us he then organised for a tasting event for us to try what we had picked - something we hadn’t asked for but a really lovely touch to further cement our decisions as part of our big day. We have stayed for years in Porches and it’s great to see the area start to get new developments and become a gem in the Algarve. White Shell is hands down the best resort in the local area and my only regret is that as people discover this it will become more and more popular and it’ll no longer be porches best kept secret. Thank you to you all for an incredible few days. We can’t wait to return later in the year.

Resort type atmosphere. Great place to relax and central to the east and west in the Algarve. Pool was amazing. You do need a car to get around the Algarve if you are goi g to see other sites. There are beaches near the resort to walk to and one requires going down stairs.
