ザ エスチュアリー ホテル アンド スパ(The Estuary Hotel & Spa)

I had a great experience at The Estuary Hotel- from the WhatsApp reservation to when I checked out after the 2 nights stay. I also had to leave early to catch a flight in Durban, and the staff were accommodation and prepared my breakfast.

The Estuary is one of the most beautiful places my wife and i had the privilege to stay at, all our expectations were met from arrival to departure. We tried to extend our stay however were unable due to not being able to change our other Hotel booking in Umhlanga. I would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to get away and relax and regenerate and enjoy the most beautiful vistas on Gods green earth.

It was Our 28th Anniversary celebration which we turned in a much needed family Bonding time with our 2 adult boys of 23 and 20 years. We spent to best 2 days of adventuring down the coast. Indescribable memorable times.

The Estuary Hotel & Spa was a pleasant surprise. The location is great and overall value for money is very good. We felt save and enjoyed the views. Dinner and breakfast were really good. Next time on the South Coast this will be a certain stop again.

We stayed for just one night in a family room, but it was the kind of place we could have spent a few days. Beautiful location on the beach. Wonderful buffet dinner. Very clean accomodations and good value.

The website for the Estuary is very misleading . Upon arrival i had to wait for 30mins as the room was not yet cleaned. We were then lead to our rooms and was highly disappointed with overall look and feel of the hotel , the walls was cracked , paint peeling off , it just looked like a dingy establishment . The bathroom was old and tacky and had a unpleasant odour . We basically had not much sleep as the people going and coming were very loud. This was the first trip i took with my girls after the passing of my husband and I was extremely disappointed .

To, Jaco Fourier, Sir, We visited your hotel on 28/12/23 to 31/12/2023. The location and accommodation was good. Meals were good. However I did book 2 rooms because my son and daughter also joined us from Jhb. We are pensioners and we did visit your hotel in August 2023 as well. Nevertheless I did have an nasty incident on the balcony of my children's room. One of the chairs that I was seated on collapsed resulting in me falling and injuring my right hand and my back. I did report the incident to your reception. The following morning I reported the incident to your General manager and informed him that I will be visiting my Doctor so that an assessment can be done and that I will forward the account to Estuary. He was not very compassionate and added that he submit the account to the the attorneys for approval. He also informed me that he had purchased new patio furniture but because of the festive season he could not replace the outdoor chairs. I did notice in the previous review, also in October 2023, a similar incident took place. Fortunately with no injuries. Your GM did however informed me that he would give me his business card because I wanted to email my concerns and my incident to him. He did not give me his card which was really disappointing. In my opinion I am of the understanding that after the first incident priority should be given to the replacement of the chairs. I look forward to your response.
