Our recent stay at Clube VilaRosa was regrettably far from satisfactory, and we feel it is important to share our experience to inform other prospective guests—particularly female travellers. Upon arrival, we were unexpectedly required to pay a €150 deposit, which had not been disclosed at the time of booking. Although we were issued a receipt confirming the refund, the amount has yet to be returned to our bank account over a week later, despite follow-up attempts. The all-inclusive offering was inconsistent. On several days, there were no snacks available between meals, and desserts frequently ran out without replenishment. The overall quality of the food was subpar. Entertainment appeared to be catered exclusively to French and German guests, with no consideration for English-speaking visitors. As a group of women, we also felt distinctly uncomfortable due to the presence of permanent residents whose apartments overlooked the pool area. On multiple occasions, we experienced unwelcome attention and interactions from these individuals. The location itself did not feel particularly safe. Access to the beach or the nearby strip required crossing a flyover, which we did not feel comfortable doing—especially during evening hours. Staff interactions were largely disappointing. The reception staff were often unhelpful and dismissive. Our accommodation lacked several amenities that had been advertised and paid for, and there was no lift or assistance provided when carrying luggage up multiple flights of stairs. Furthermore, the behaviour of some bar staff was inappropriate. Rather than offering courteous service, they were overly familiar and flirtatious, which created an unprofessional and uncomfortable environment. In summary, our stay at Clube VilaRosa fell well below expectations. Due to the various service failures, lack of safety, and uncomfortable atmosphere, we cannot recommend this property—particularly to groups of women.
