PortoSense Ribeira

Amazing location with stunning views over the river and square. You really couldn’t get any closer to the action. That does come at a cost though- as the street cleaners and bin emptiers start very early in the morning and you’ll need a window open as there is no air con. Apartment was great, well set up and perfect for a short stay. We stayed four nights- and with only a small wardrobe ended up living out of our suitcase. A chest of drawers would have been useful. We’ve stayed in Porto a few times and it’s much cheaper to stay a little further away from the center- and quieter. That said- a lovely lovely spot and we’d definitely stay again.

The location is amazing. You can literally experience Porto without leaving the apartment. The character and comfort of the apartment were great, and the balcony overlooking the Praça Ribeira. Communication and attention from hosts Christina and Filipe was quick, clear and so helpful, especially in getting transport from airport to a block away (traffic is not allowed in the praça). Getting in and leaving our bags for a few hours (we arrived earlier than anticipated) was a breeze. The queen-sized bed was very comfortable. There is an elevator straight to the room's front door which was very helpful. (But keep in mind there is no elevator up the streets!) Lack of air conditioning means leaving windows open on hot nights, which can be very noisy with all the activity in the Praça, especially on weekends. Tall people will find the shower a bit of a challenge. Aside from these minor quibbles, the one-bedroom apartment with its full-length balcony is an attraction in itself. We never tired of walking along the ribeira, up past the Bolsa palace along rua das flores. Miss Pavlova on the other side of Rua de São João (3 min) offers great breakfast items and fabulous pavlovas!

Wow what can I say?? This place is incredible. Swo story wor with two baths, kitchen and living area. The balcony was to die for! The entire balcony at the top of the attached photo is the balcony for this unit. It was so spacious and clean. Staff very helpful and accommodating. The views are wonderful! Plenty of bars and restaurants within minutes of the hotel. I will def I sorely stay here when I go back to Porto!

We stayed 4 nights in this great place and confirm the excellent comments of former reviews : The hosts really care about the well-being of their guests, the apartment is perfectly equipped and located. Other advantage: During our stay, we didn't use the metro or busses, all points of interest can be visited on foot. Situated in a pedestrian zone, there is no traffic noise, only some groups of tourists who don't enjoy, but abuse of Porto wine. We loved this place to discover Porto during the day and to have a big choice of restaurants and bars in the evening. Thanks a lot.

Best location in Porto. The host was attentive and incredibly helpful. The Bite restaurant just downstairs had amazing food and the best Sangria in town. Great facilities with washing machine. Bed was comfortable. Loved waking up to the views. So close to all the action.

Great experience overall at Portosense. Nice room, immaculately clean and wonderful location in the very heart of Porto. Fully equipped kitchen and everything felt as if it has recently been renovated. Would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Porto.

This place is amazing! The hosts were extremely responsive, accommodating and made it so easy to be comfortable. The balcony was incredible. With that view you don’t need to go much farther! I feel fortunate I was able to book this place for my stay in Porto!

Nous avions réservé avec mon copain, pour 3 nuit dans cet établissement. Seulement en raison d’un problème de santé et une contre indication médicale de voyager nous avons dû annuler notre voyage. Nous avons donc payer le prix du séjour ce qui est normal au vu des limites de temps mais l’hôtel nous a aussi demander 400 euros de frais d’annulation! Alors qu’il connaissait les raisons de notre annulation ( documents transmis). Ils n’ont pas voulu réduire les frais encore moins les annuler et ont arrêté de répondre à nos mails. Je pense que c’est quand même gonflé de la part d’un hôtel si bien noté et rempli tout au long de l’année de faire payer le double du prix sans aucune raison valable. Et surtout sans prendre en compte le cas de force majeur dont nous avons été victimes. Déçue et dégoûtée, sentiment d’être volé.
