Spotlessly clean, comfortable accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Our meal in the restaurant was exquisite, as was the service. Great choice for breakfast. A thoroughly enjoyable experience in a tranquil setting. Very close to bus number 9 to travel into Brescia centre.

I was disappointed that when I booked this stay (through **********, not through the hotel directly) that there was no communication that the spa and all spa associated services weren’t open that week. It was a shame because it was literally the only reason why I booked this place.

The stay was fantastic, the swimming pool amazing as well as the restaurant. Only negative we were told on the first day that we couldn’t eat at the restaurant. They should count people in by default. It also rained on the first morning and it the spa was not available.

Cute place but very removed, no amenities, not even a bathroom. Spa never picked up the phone. No room service though the website said their was and the restaurant couldn’t even squeeze in a single. Sorry I came.

We stayed there for two days with our two young daughters. Despite it being not marketed as a family-friendly location, all staff from hotel and restaurant have been super supportive and friendly. Food in restaurant is outstanding, so is the pool. Do spend some time hiking the surrounding vineyards and hills .

We chose this place because of its wellness center, but were quite surprised when we discovered all slots were reserved by outside clients! Had we known ahead of time, we would have gone elsewhere as the hotel itself is correct but not impressive, and is located in an ordinary residential area outside town. Our terrace turned out to be a « tropezienne » (blind attic space without a roof and without a view). Our superior room, although spacious, was cold, anonymous and quirky ( on both sides of the headboard, there are switches for lamps but also for a bell that rings loudly in the bedroom. Better not to make a mistake in the middle of the night ... ) However, bedding was firm and comfortable. Breakfast (not sanitary enough as it was a self serve buffet), was nonetheless quite diversified, tasty and we enjoyed having it outside. Day staff was very pleasant, especially Marica, a young lady with great courtesy and professionnalism. All in all, this place is correct but not cozy nor warm. It seems more interested in private events, such as weddings, parties, conferences, than in regular clients. Be aware that such events might ruin the « peaceful » environnment, and that access to the wellness center is not granted. Make sure to reserve it way ahead of time as it seems to be very popular in town. We did not have a single chance to enjoy the pool, the spa, nor the massages!

An unexpected nine night stay at this fabulous hotel as our car broke down and this hotel was nearest the garage. A magnificent setting and very comfortable room. The service from every member of the staff was exceptional. The delicious breakfast was served from the buffet due to covid restrictions, but there was a good variety. We were able to use the pool in the resort spa and eat in the restaurant, where again the service and food was superb. This hotel is sometimes used for weddings and events but the staff do there best to minimise the impact. There is a lovely forest behind the hotel with a nature trail and nearby bus stops with easy access into the beautiful city. Thankyou to everyone at Il santellone we certainly hope we can visit again.

Wonderful location with Italian charme in tranquil countryside setting. Spacious suites present an excellent value, friendly and helpful staff. Our stay was during COVID-19 and the Spa closed. We plan to come back to enjoy Wellness program.
