The 8 sleeper at the Karoo cottages is outstanding. With the main house having lots of space, a well equipped kitchen, pool, green garden and air con in every room you cannot help but be comfortable. The house is serviced every day by a cleaner and the hosts were very responsive and the communication was excellent. Be aware that the house sleeps 6 and there is a separate cottage that sleeps two with its own bathroom.

Beautifully appointed and perfect for four couples with kids. Prince Albert is a Karoo town worth seeing. Lazy Lizard for brunch and a movie in the showroom is a must

We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 1. Room was like the pictures and description so can’t complain about that. When evening fell we noticed the first cockroaches crawling trough the kitchen. When we contacted the host he first said that he wasn’t aware of any cockroaches but please spray them. He later offered us to change the room which we declined. In my quest to spray the cockroaches I found I also found other dead bugs already lying under kitchen equipment. The next morning we decided to check out. Since checking out was only by leaving the key in the room we contacted the host that we were checking out. He replied with a question mark and “are you leaving a day early.” After we replied “yes” we never heard from him again. So I assume that for this place/host it is more normal than it is for us when guests are leaving early.
