I do want to preface this by saying we visited Progreso during the off season and we are not fluent Spanish speakers. We arrived to our hotel and despite paying for an ocean view, the ocean was almost completely blocked by the museum. The towels had stains on them, the water was very weak (I suspect the shower head needs a good deep clean) and it stayed hot for less than 10 minutes. When I inquired about getting a toured booked, the manager said he couldn't call anyone and simply pointed to a direction where a tour business was located. They did not speak English despite what it says on their page. We checked out early.
