カセナ モンジェッラティ(Casena Mongerrati)

great place to disconnect from busy Cefalu in the summer. Beautiful property with a great pool and views of the mountains. Dinner was homemade and very good.

We were heading up to Parco delle Madonie to look at the deer, wild boar, golden eagles, etc (and were not disappointed) and were looking for a simple lunch stop en-route. Seeing a sign that simply said ‘living restaurant’ I swung into the drive way and approached a beautifully restored stone farmhouse with slight apprehension because it looked expensive. We were greeted by a very lovely young lady who turned out was our maitre’d , waitress, translator etc. It was a quiet very hot day and we had the restaurant almost to our ourselves -and what a restaurant it is made from wood and then glazed fully round to look out on the beautiful gardens, the mountain views and pool area. The menu was a wonderful Sicilian one although I opted for a fantastic tomahawk steak cooked rare with a lovely sweet and tangy balsamic glaze . The staff were amazing, the ambiance, the view and the food- top drawer. Oh and the price? Half what I was expecting. I left full and happy

We were here last week for dinner and had a fantastic experience. This place is situated in the middle of the forest, perfect for people who are looking for peace and relax. The food was fantastic, we had the carpaccio of mushrooms and the delicious caponata, followed by pasta with pistacchio and tomatoes and the veal with potatoes. All of it was very tasty. The desserts therefore could be improved a little, but that's complaining on a high level. There is also a beautiful and large pool, the whole outside area is very well kept and beautifully done with flowers and trees to create a nice atmosphere. To top it, there's a pool table which you can use for free. We will be back here soon again for a chilled day at the pool and another lovely dinner.

Great location in Madonie Nature park. Stylish design. Room was adequate. Beautiful pool. Breakfast had a larger selection in the sweet department than on the savoury side. Only cheese and salami. No eggs were offered, until on my third and last day I saw an ommelette being served to another guest. Restaurant has only 2 options per course. Pasta was good, the breaded fish not. We had dinner twice at Casa Drinzi, a short drive.

We stayed here for just one night in July before travelling home from Sicily. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel with extremely friendly staff/owners. +Really nice pool area +Fun with Ping pong and pool table in the outdoor lounge area +Beautiful hotel and surroundings +Very good dinner deal - The air conditions in the rooms seems to be 10 years older than the hotels. Ours was at 25C when we entered the room and put it on. At no point did it ever lower the temperature even though we confirmed the settings several times. The other couple we traveled with had the same experience in their room. This is the only big negative thing for me as sleep quality was the worst in the whole trip to italy due to the temperature. - While the dinner and wine is really good value (bottle of wine around 18-20EUR), the poolside drinks are very expensive at about 15 EUR per drink. Would have preferred to know the prices were that different since the poolside prices were not displayed anywhere that we saw. Overall I would for sure return to this really nice place. If they got working AC and a poolside menu with prices this place would be 10/10. Highly recommended anyways if you dont care about AC that much.

Già dalla presentazione sul sito si poteva indovinare la qualità dell'ospitalità, ma solo dopo l'arrivo ci si rende conto dell'offerta della struttura. Camere comode, ben arredate, inserite in un edificio in pietra ottimamente ristrutturato. Gli spazi comuni (piscina, sala ristorante, area relax) sono sobri ed eleganti. L'area offre la possibilità di passeggiate, gite in bicicletta ed è a pochi minuti da Gal Hassin, il Parco Astronomico di Isnello, un paese che permette di scoprire una Sicilia inaspettata. Il personale è perfettamente inserito nel progetto che sta dietro Casena Mongerrati, cortesissimo ed efficiente.

Très bel endroit proposant une vue magnifique sur les montagnes environnantes. Piscine à débordement dotée d’un jaccuzzi. Table de billard. La vieille bâtisse a été rénovée avec goût ce qui lui donne un charme certain. L’endroit est parfait pour sillonner et visiter les monts Madonie. Les chambres de plein pied sont un peu sombres, peut-être pour se préserver de la chaleur. Dommage qu’elles ne soient pas équipées d’un petit extérieur de jardin. Excellente carte d’apéritif, très agréable en bordure de piscine ! Petit bémol sur la restauration.

Location da urlo nel bel mezzo del parco delle Madonie, ci si può rilassare a bordo vasca al canto delle cicale, tutto pulitissimo e curato. La nota dolente è il ristorante. Ci vorrebbe veramente poco per valorizzare i prodotti del territorio : affettati, formaggi, olive...invece vengono presentati piatti di qualità mediocre senza nessuna cura, ma al momento del conto vengono fatti pagare in maniera eccessiva . Peccato perché la location e il servizio sono ottimi. Spero che la cucina possa migliorare .
