It was a highly anticipated stay in late June and early July of 2025 based on all the nice but old reviews. But it turned out that we couldn't even get the basic services such as hot water in the showr and the bathrooms. It was brutal to take cold showers and wash hands in cold water in this cool/cold city even during the summer time. Staff were nice but no one was around at night so we had no one to turn to. This beautiful hotel was empty and it felt like a ghost town at night and early morning. It seems like this nice place has been abandoned for a long time, while other places nearby were hustling and happening. Breakfast included was very basic and nothing special. But the manager was nice to offer us some refund due to the unavailability of hot water. But that was three months ago and still no refund. Highly recommend you stay in other places, and not this one from the "past" and still in the "past".

The accommodation was excellent, the room and good service, everything was much better than in other hotels we have been to. I recommend it. El alojamiento estuvo excelente buena la habitación y buen servicio todo estuvo mucho mejor que en otros hoteles que hemos estado lo recomiendo

This is a charming old hotel just off the Zocalo. The sfaff are wonderful and the Presidential Suite was the quietest place I have ever stayed in my many travels in Mexico. There are one or two other quiet rooms that don't face the streets (its on a corner), best to call and ask the names of the rooms. The staff spoke basic English. The complimentary breakfast and welcome cocktail were very good also. My only issues were that the internet was spotty to non-existent (I am sure they will fix this soon) and the big tub in our suite had insufficient water flow to fill in less than an hour. Stay here and enjoy the proximity to the centro, the colonial feel of the hotel and the lovely staff.

One of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. My beautiful room had stylish décor and extravagant bathroom. Each morning it was a great pleasure to have breakfast in the lovely courtyard, featuring seasonal fruit, toast, egg dishes, juice and coffee. The location in the historic center is superb. Most importantly, the hotel staff members are experts in customer service. I had a personal emergency during my stay. The hotel manager and restaurant manager went out of their way to show tremendous kindness to me, which I will never forget. I am so fortunate to have stayed at this wonderful hotel.

We really enjoyed our three nights here. The location is perfect, lovely rooms done in the colonial style but with a large modern bathroom. Great breakfast and service. The only thing to be aware of is that all of the guest rooms are on the upper floor and there is no elevator. The hotel staff will gladly help you with your luggage, but you need to be able to climb the stairs.

Lamentable mi llegada. Llovía muy fuerte, estaba en doble fila, no había nadie en la puerta ni en recepción que contestara las llamadas. Se bajo mi esposa con mucha lluvia a buscar quien nos ayudara. Nos dieron el cuarto, baño con óxido, y accesorios del baño en mal estado. Decidimos salirnos y cambiarnos a un mejor hotel. Lo único que agradecemos que la cancelación del cargo fue fácil. El lugar está descuidado sin personal, no veo cómo pueda subsistir el hotel.

No respetan los precios publicados, publican 2 726.00 y en hotel te quieren cobrar 3 725.00. Falta de seriedad y respeto hacia los clientes. Hojala las autoridades hicieran algo al respeto. Abusan de la gente. Ojo ojo ojo ojo ojo ojo ojo gente

Hice mi reservación a través de American Express Viajes con dos semanas de anticipación para una habitación con dos camas, la pagué en su totalidad de manera anticipada, una semana antes del viaje de manera unilateral decidieron darme un “upgrade” a una habitación con una sola cama king size, pues por un “error” habían vendido dos veces la habitación con dos camas. Fue imposible convencerles de que respetaran la reservación original. Decidí cancelar mi viaje por la falta de seriedad de éste hotel.

ホテルからの返信: Buen día estimado Sr. Antonio lamentamos mucho haber tenido problemas de comunicación entre la agencia por la cual reservó y nosotros como hotel y que lo afectáramos en su viaje, nuestra prioridad es que todos y cada uno de nuestros huéspedes y clientes tengan una estancia agradable en la Casona, es por eso que en cuanto recibimos su reserva con los requerimientos especiales de 2 camas, excelente vista y el elevador, contactamos a la agencia para notificarle que no contábamos con la disposición de la suite solicitada, nuestra mejor opción fue el up grade con la mención de 1 cama, ya que ninguna de nuestras otras suites tiene la opción de 2 camas o colocar una adicional. Agradecemos mucho sus comentarios y valoramos el tiempo que se tomó para realizarlos, estamos realizando las actualizaciones necesarias en nuestras plataformas para no tener este incidente nuevamente, le reiteramos una sincera disculpa y esperamos vuelva a disfrutar de una visita a esta gran Puebla de los Ángeles. Muy bueno y la comida nii se diga!. Muy tradicional mexicano, tienes que pasar a ver la antigua cocina que usaba Catarina de San Juan, llamada tradicionalmente como la China Poblana, muy bello todo, gracias al Chef Martín y al gerente Gabriel, cómo olvidar a Veronica que me lo recomendó.

Solo fuimos a desayunar, pero seguramente la proxima vez que visitemos Puebla trataremos de quedarnos aqui. El Servicio es muy amable y bueno. El Sr. que amenizaba con un organo nos pregunto si el volumen nos parecia adecuado. Los alimetos excelentes en sabor y porciones.
