This resort is paradise, absolutely stunning white beaches and beautiful sea. We enjoyed the water sports activities, the outdoor cinema and the hidden bottles were a nice touch. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Big shout out to Delores for the amazing service. The hotel let you enjoy the facilities until you leave for the airport. A few reasons why it wasn’t a 5-star review. I felt there were teething problems, very slow service for food and drinks, however the steak was ordered it would come medium, served cold food a couple of times and mischarged for drinks when all inclusive. The menu was never changed so if you’re here for a while the food can get boring if you only use the two main restaurants. We also had a struggle getting sunbeds, loads on the beach but nowhere near enough by the pool. The spa was nice but you need to book in advance as it was impossible to get a slot at a decent time. Not the fault of the resort, but lack of planning on our part. It’s very isolated so not ideal for doing trips around Mauritius or for generally strolling in the area. This is really a resort for peace and total R&R. We wish we’d considered a shorter trip and visited another part of the island rather than spending a week in the one place.

A one week visit to LUX Belle Mare just eleven days after the resort opened following a fire in 2022 proved to be thoroughly rewarding and relaxing with no signs of any disorganisation after such a prolonged shutdown. This was our sixth visit to the island and the fourth different resort, so we had a good base against which to judge this LUX unit. We picked the All Inclusive (AI) option and recommend this if budgets allow as it allows wide freedom of choice and virtually no admin/accounting hassles. Our "home" was a Junior Suite with pool view that allowed very easy access to the resort's primary facilities but which shut out noises from the pool area. The suite is smartly decorated in a restrained way and was spotlessly clean. A HUGE bed and lovely soft pillows made for good sleeping while the spacious bathroom with separate tub and shower blessed with endless hot water under good pressure, added to the feel good factor. The main restaurant overlooking a huge and beautifully clean pool was used daily for breakfast and became our prime choice for dinner too as the quality and variety of food offered was simply the best we have ever experienced on the island. Three other a la carte restaurants are on site, with the casual Beach Rouge outlet being fully accessible on the AI package while the more specialised Indian and Chinese outlets offered discounts for guests on A1. I think I'm correct in stating that the latter was fully accessible on A1 before the fire. Its present partial exclusion from this package I regard as a little mean given the significant premium charged for AI. A number of "bars" allowed for easy quenching of thirsts but it was the main bar alongside that gorgeous pool that became our social home. An endless variety of drinks is offered and the crew carried out their duties with a most pleasant disposition. Indeed, the attitude of all the staff was standout in that without exception, they all appeared to be enjoying their jobs and in so doing, added to the most pleasant environment evident in this unit. For the most part, speed of delivery of service was good, but a large influx of guests and their young children from the UK on around day 4, slowed things down a tad but not to the point of annoyance! We must also mention that the GM was very much in evidence at all times and took the trouble to communicate with guests wherever he went. On a specific point, I questioned the apparently illogical exclusion of zero alcohol bottled beer from the AI package and within minutes, this exclusion was reversed and my account credited for earlier "purchases." We also noted that sun shades situated on the beautiful beach, blessed with powdery sand and very little foot snagging coral, had service "buttons" attched to their respective supports, so getting refreshments while lounging alongside the Indian Ocean was never a problem. The best day use my husband and I had for his special day this year! I had to make sure that the day would go as per my plan so I was in touch with Jennifer constantly. She organised everything for us and even made sure a little birthday cake was served to hubby after lunch. When we arrived we were welcomed with the genuine Mauritian hospitality and warm smile from Isabelle, Leelesh, Hema, Elvis and Gopee. Sheila the Resident Manager and Tivani the Group Quality Manager came to meet us and explained the new concept and additions to the hotel. We were soooo eager to start the day from there on! To start with, we had a few drinks at Mixologist and was so delighted to see that Vijay and Stephano was still there. We head on straight to Beach Rouge where we were welcomed by the ever gentle and friendly or let's be honest here another family member, the delightful Kris. And from the moment we sat in the lounge till departure Kris and his team made sure we were always full will food and drinks! (Tips: if you want to enjoy the dishes, make sure you skip breakfast!) On the way to the lobby we had to stop for a scoop of ice-cream at the ICI and Alina was the best. At the end of the day we had to meet with Bilall for a good dose of caffeine from Maison LUX before we hit the road. That was only half of the experiences we could try, we cannot wait to try the other experiences soon. Next on the list would be spending the holidays in the resort! A day is not enough

The beach view from the villa was stunning. The interior of the villa was very beautiful and cozy. The butlers Sanju and Rao made the stay very comfortable and fulfilled every wish. Also the beach service was amazing also caused to the nice service of Girish. We can recommend all restaurants at the resort and would also like to thank the sommelier Amar for showing us fantastic wines. All in all the team did an amazing job and made the whole stay unforgettable. Congratutions to villas manager Suren!

It’s lovely hotel but I got big problem with them so I gave them 3 stars just for place and some employees but they weren’t helpful for financial things and they got problems with booking details with booking be careful when you booking put appropriate options for hotels

Coming back to Lux*Belle Mare was a dream we had since we last visited 10 years ago. This time we had our kids with us and chose the ocean view villa for a comfortable stay. Of course we read about the amenities that come with the villa, but our expectations were far exceeded. The amazing crew around Rao, Girish, Sanju, Deoraj and the best housekeeper Benji made our stay in the villa unforgettable. The amazing staff in the restaurants, like Ashveena and Joyce made every meal an event to look forward to. The food selection, quality, and taste are superb, no matter which restaurant you choose. We especially enjoyed the buffet in Mondo, where all of us found more incredible food than we were able to eat. Every afternoon a visit to ICI for the perfect ice cream was a must have, straight after enjoying the delicious pancakes, of course. Chef Pascal and his team made every desert selection a challenge, since there were so many goodies to taste. The whole resort with its location on the east coast, the stunning white beach, the kids club program, the cleanliness everywhere, the spa Lux*Me, and all the amenities combined with the dedication, hospitality, and friendliness of the staff ensures you have the perfect vacation. We can’t wait to come back!

A gorgeous spot with an outstanding beach! Modern and sleek designs yet preserving an African style. Sawan at Beach Rouge has been so kind professional and helpful. Ghada is so welcoming and hospitable, she was warm since day one! Taj at the bar for the best drinks and the kindest attitude! I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!
