I stayed at Fundalucia in the week around New Year’s Eve. After a busy period in the Netherlands, I came to Fundalucia and Quentár for some quietness. I did plenty of hikes in the surrounding area and I experienced Fundalucia as a nice retreat with fellow like-minded travelers and hikers. Axel took good care of the common area with fireplace (with real wood – which is an unicum in accordance to the place I stay at in the Netherlands) and it was nice to have some genuine, relaxed conversations whilst looking at the flames after a long day of walking 😊. Furthermore, the guesthouse is clean and has good amenities (they’ve got plenty of buyable food over there so you can make yourself a meal when the supermarkets are closed) and nice gardens and views surrounding the cottage. In summary, Fundalucia has a very nice, calming ambience. Maryna is the resident masseuse of Fundalucia and I took three massages. They were the greatest massages I ever had and she puts a lot of effort, concentration and ‘feeling’ in the massage with lots of techniques. They were truly an otherworldly experience and I am very grateful for that.

Awesome stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at this cosy accommodation! Magnificent views, spacious rooms, magical ambience, and very helpful staff. We stayed in a private room with bathroom and everything was exactly as in the pictures. The accommodation is also very close to the short 30 minute bus ride to Granada. We will definitely be back.

This is a cool, tranquil hostel with friendly staff and guests. The patio is lovely, and the building is a cozy dark wood rustic vibe. Kitchen provided all we needed. Finding it was a challenge. I mapped it from the link that ******* sent to my Tripit app. The link actually took us up the mountains about 20 minutes from the location. The driving is a bit challenging - a serpentine mountain road that allows traffic both ways but too narrow for two vehicles (but doable because you go slow and there aren't many vehicles on the road). We eventually looked at our ******* app and discovered the true location (but in another hostel we were misdirected by the ******* app, so from now on we Google the location directly for our GPS). Once we arrived at the true location the signs for the Fundalucia are sparse. There's a letter "A" along with the sign, so when you get out and walk, look also for the "A" and be prepared to walk up a concrete hill adjacent to a school playground.

Pasé tres noches y cuatro días aquí. Fui buscando pausa y encontré presencia. Lena y Efendi son personas maravillosas: es bonito encontrar a personas que no sólo miran, sino ven. La estancia fue un regalo de aprendizaje, conexión y compartir. Me llevo cariño, calma y la sensación de haber estado en un lugar donde la vida se siente y respira de otra manera. Gracias. Pension hors du temps avec une atmosphère singulière et particulière. Lit confortable, tout le nécessaire dans la cuisine, facile de se garer dans la rue en contrebas de la pension
