ルレ パルコ カヴァロンガ(Relais Parco Cavalonga)

We recently returned from 2 weeks at Parco Cavalonga; we are a family of 4 and were self-catering, staying in Casa Donnafugata. We had a wonderful holiday and really enjoyed having this lovely Relais as our base. Our villa was very elegant with a basic but well-equipped kitchen, 2 decent bathrooms and a large, airy living area. The air-con was effective so we were cool at night. The furnishings were basic but stylish and charming. All the towels and linen were good quality and replaced each week. We had a lovely terrace giving perfect views of the stunning sunsets each evening. The grounds of the Relais are full of typical Sicilian plants and trees: carobs, figs, prickly pear, bougainvillea, olives etc. This is a very hot, very dry land, so of course it is not all green and lush, but it is fragrant and very mediterranean. We used the large infinity pool that the self-catering villas share; there are plenty of sunbeds and we never had difficulty finding space. We ate breakfast in the hotel on several mornings and very much enjoyed the buffet-style array of local cheese, honey and fruit as well as scrambled egg, toast, meats and always cake! We also enjoyed dinner in the hotel twice - a set-menu is served at 8pm, on the delightful terrace. The choices were all local and well cooked and we would recommend it. All the staff were very helpful and kind; they even ordered and collected a cake for us to celebrate our daughter's 15th birthday - so they very much go the extra mile for their guests. It is true that the villas and pools could probably do with a little TLC before too long, but this hotel (like many in Italy and across Europe) no doubt took a huge financial hit during covid, so they no doubt need a little time to recover. We would thoroughly recommend this as a base for a family holiday.

We stayed in Apartment-suite Ibla. The apartment is big, bright, and nicely renovated. The bathrooms work well, as does the AC. The park is wonderful, a perfect (in my opinion) combination of curated and wild. The two swimming pools are well maintained (though not new), have great views, and weren't ever too busy during our stay. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The shortcomings all relate to the apartment. The cooking hob is ancient; four slow hot plates with four knobs - that's it. No safety lights to warn that the plates are hot. No drawing to show which knob goes with which plate, or which way the knob needs to be turned. There is no microwave. There is only one shelf to store the food. In summary, the kitchen is barely usable. In the living room, there are no cabinets. After asking, we were given a plastic table to put in a corner, which did the trick. The drying rack for the laundry is at small as it gets and certainly not sufficient for 6 people. Good thing clothing dries very quickly at 30C+! In summary, the place is beautiful and the expensive bits are all there: large apartment, AC, swimming pools, park. It just needs some additional work and money to go up a notch. Right now it is between 3 and 4 starts but I give it 4 in the hope they will be addressed soon (I emailed all of these points to the hotel). I would probably go back but not a sure thing.

i like this place though it was a quiet time of year and i have no idea what it is like in high season helpful and very courteous staff, clean, nice touches. Quiet and pretty setting. good for golf if ever Donnafugata opens again. Apartments spacious, but a bit tired, good terraces, comfortable. Realistically dinner only every other night allows break out to plenty of other choices in the area. Would go back.

We had reserved apartment ‘Kamarina’ and is was nice. 3 rooms an 3 bathrooms and a wonderful view. Unfortunately we had a lot of issues with the aircon that had to be repaired almost every day (day temp = 38 c…) Also hot water was on/off and wifi only worked in the reception area of the hotel. Nice pools, friendly staff but it seems Covid stopped investments. Plants, pool maintenance, general garden maintenance etc was not a topic. Result - very nice place and fine apartment but issues were too many for a 4 star hotel. Invest a bit more and increase staff by 1-2 persons would make a huge diff

Riposo tra le campagne ragusane! Il relais è una struttura diffusa costituita da un corpo principale con camere e altre unità abitative. Abbiamo soggiornato nel corpo principale, in camere molto spaziose,luminose. Letti Queen Size per la camera matrimoniale e per i ragazzi. La struttura dispone di due piscine: una più piccola ed una molto più grande, curate e corredate di lettini, area pergola e ombrelloni movibili. La colazione è abbondante e offre prodotti locali di buona qualità. Abbiamo anche cenato in struttura, confermando la disponibilità di ottime materie prime e preparazioni in linea con la tradizione culinaria ragusana. Il personale è molto gentile e premuroso in tutti gli ambienti vissuti. Una nota di merito va alla sig. Noemi per la gentilezza unica con cui ha accolto la nostra difficoltà (motivi di salute) a raggiungere la struttura pochi minuti prima del check-in. Grazie per la straordinaria comprensione e l’immediata proposta di riprotezione su un altro periodo di alta stagione. Davvero grazie! Consigliamo vivamente la struttura per la posizione logistica (a pochi minuti dal castello di Donnafugata), la totale immersione nelle campagne ragusane (oasi di pace e frescura) e per la bellezza della struttura stessa!

Das Hotel liegt unglaublich ruhig und bietet Ruhe und Erholung. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir waren mit einem Kind da und für uns war es ideal. Zwei Pools zur Auswahl und das Meer nur wenige Kilometer weg. Es war sauber, das das Frühstück reichlich und sehr gut. Das Abendessen ist sehr zu empfehlen, wird aber wie in südlichen Ländern üblich spät serviert. Das war für unser Kind zu spät, deshalb haben wir Abendessen jeweils mit gebracht und haben Besteck und Teller erhalten damit wir draussen essen konnten. Toller Service

Nous avons été très déçu de cet « hôtel » qui ne vaut pas du tout son standing. Il se trouve déjà dans un coin perdu mais ça serait passé si le service et lieux aurait été à la hauteur. Déjà nous arrivons, on avait réservé une chambre double mais à notre grande surprise on nous donne une chambre avec deux lits simple séparé (on était en couple). Après avoir fait la réflexion à l’hôtesse elle nous envoie balader en nous disant que y’a pas autre chose… d’ailleurs la dame de l’accueil était pas trop agréable.. dommage. Côté nourriture, alors la grosse blague, un petit déjeuner quasi inexistant: il y avait presque aucun choix et seulement un tout petit buffet. Pour le soir, menu à 32€ imposé sans boissons, c’est dommage qu’on est pas le choix. Et pour finir, l’hôtel n’est pas très bien entretenu surtout côté piscine/extérieur. L’eau de la piscine était sale alors que le jour de notre arriver elle était soit disant fermé pour nettoyage et une fois la bas, y’a rien, bar fermé, feuille de partout et sol sale. Sinon côté positif, le cadre est jolie, en pleine campagne avec de jolies fleurs partout. La literie est confortable. Je ne recommande donc pas ce lieu ou alors pour seulement 1/2 nuits.

Location bella con un altissimo potenziale ma trascurata sotto ogni aspetto. Poca cura dei giardini e degli spazi comuni, poca attenzione nei confronti dei clienti, ho visto ragazze della reception rivolgersi in modo molto maleducato agli ospiti. Colazione misera e sempre uguale in cui si riproponevano le cose avanzate per giorni. Non assolutamente da 4 stelle.

Posto incantevole per chi ha voglia di rilassarsi ,un'oasi immersa nelle campagne ragusane a pochi km dal castello di donnafugata (bellissimo) Personale gentilissimo e super disponibile ad accogliere ogni tua richiesta ,ma forse esiguo nel numero di persone. La struttura ha bisogno di una bella ripresa di alcuni dettagli es: Zona piscine,camere,verde. Non è sicuramente una struttura da 4 stelle.
