Landhotel Zum Honigdieb

Location: It’s 20 minutes from Ribnitz-Damgarten. The village itself is quite small – no shops. Reception: Not open when we arrived due to lack of staff. We checked in at the Hofladen, a sort of farm shop full of tempting options. I took the little one to the sandpit and swings. The former had been well used and some of the toys were broken. Our Room, number 12: We were on the 2nd floor, effectively the loft, and it is very cute, not really that small and comfortable. In the Germany fashion beds have dooners you wrap yourself into rather than fitted sheets. I had to be careful with the low sloping section near the windows, where we had left out suitcases. Tea and Coffee: Shared facilities are on the 1st Floor. Breakfast: On opening at 8am a pot of coffee is delivered immediately. Toast is not a thing here but the rolls are excellent. I enjoyed cold and hot items from the buffet. Appropriately, there was a significant selection of honeys. There is no dinner here. Room Service? “Wenn du Früstück in Bett, dann Schlaf doch in der Küche”, sagt meine Frau

Das Landhotel ist ruhig gelegen, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Kurorte sind gut erreichbar. Das Zimmer war geräumig, die Ausstattung gut. Sehr gut war das umfangreiche und vielseitige Frühstück, der Service perfekt. Genossen haben wir die Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals. Interessant ist der dem Hotel angeschlossene Hofladen, in dem man sehr viele Imkereiprodukte erwerben kann.
