The West Lane Inn

We just got home from this beautiful historic Inn. From the moment we entered our beautiful room we loved it. The room was perfect. So beautiful and comfortable. The best shower I have ever used. Breakfast is included and delicious with great service and a very cozy breakfast area inside, or you can enjoy breakfast on the huge front porch with beautiful flowers overlooking the huge front lawn. Tea and coffee is available at all times as well as water coolers. When we arrived on a Friday, fresh chocolate chip cookies were being baked and available all evening. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The inn is in a beautiful location within safe (sidewalks all the way) walking distance to all the fabulous mansions, restaurants, shops, museums and the beautiful Ridgefield playhouse. We planned our trip around a performance there but thoroughly enjoyed walking all around town as well. We want to return someday!!

If you prefer staying at a B&B over a hotel and you have been doing that for as long as we have, then you know your experiences can range from excellent to comically disastrous. The West Lane Inn definitely qualifies as excellent. The inn is beautiful and well-maintained, but it’s the meticulous attention to little touches that make the inn special. For example, Keurig coffee maker in the lobby for 24-7 access to coffee, very large bath towels, high quality bedding, even chairs that swivel so that a guest can enjoy that early morning coffee lawn view instead of having to move furniture to do so. The staff is gracious and helpful, from telephone reservation to check-in to checkout to the cooked-to-order breakfast served with a smile in either the dining room or on the porch. Highly recommend.

I really like staying at the west lane inn. It is very comfortable and the staff is accommodating and friendly. I love the breakfast that is included. I also love the location which is near the beautiful town of Ridgefield. If you are looking for a quaint place to stay, I recommend staying here.

The West Lane Inn is lovely! The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Our room 302 was warm and spotless, with new towels and linens. Breakfast was simple and delicious. The property is also close enough to town to walk. Would stay here again!

Outstanding B&B with a very friendly and processional staff. Accommodations were clean and spacious in this old school country inn. In room fridge, cocktail makings and snacks afford a better experience than some spartan B&B establishments. Breakfast was prepared based on selections from a posted menu. Defiantly a great place to stay when in the area for business or pleasure.

We sweated through our first night at the inn as the only fan blew hot air. We opened the windows which helped a bit, but there was no cross breeze. We complained and the management said they would turn on the fan and ac. They did and we took a long nap to make up for the sleepless night. The second night was great- what you expect from an expensive inn. The third night they had turned off the fan again and we sweated and tossed and turned all night. We had a 10 hour drive the following day in bad weather. I feel so neglected and ripped off.

I was in town for a high school reunion after many years away. Most of the Inn guests were fellow reunion classmates, and the porch was a lovely place to chat as well as to enjoy the delicious breakfast selections. The cookies were yummy too! Our third floor room had been recently renovated (most of the rooms have been we were told) and it was just lovely, large and comfortable including the bathroom. I didn't have trouble carrying my small bag up to the third floor but the check-in person offered to help if I needed it. The staff we met were all friendly and helpful. It was such a relaxing and pleasant visit that I'm trying to think of an excuse to go back to Ridgefield to stay here again.

Love the West Lane Inn. Beautiful hotel and immaculately clean. Bed was super comfortable with lovely bedding. Loved the minibar setup in the room but wish that there was in room coffee for the morning. Having to get dressed at 6 am to go down and get the first coffee of the day isn't ideal. Also wish there was an outlet either side of the bed for easy phone charging. I would highly recommend the inn and will be booking again for our next Ridgefield trip!

Great breakfast. Wonderful porch to sit out and chill. Room was very spacious and clean and updated. No shortage of channels from satellite television. Staff was excellent. Nice location outside of the big city and off of the interstate highways. Would highly recommend staying here.
