フォーカス ホテル(Focus Hotel)

Stayed for a night in October to watch rugby WC in Lille. Couldn’t have been better. Easy to find, 2 mins from station, 10 mins from central Kortrijk and nice cafes. Room spotless beds comfy and best nights sleep I’ve had for a while in a hotel. Breakfast good spread nice pastries and a little hot plate to fry your own eggs. Absolute bargain

11 of us stayed. I luckily had a room to myself and enjoyed a very clean and comfy room with well equipped en suite bathroom. Nice and quiet too. Each room is individually styled making for a stylish and quirky place. Breakfast is really good. A griddle to do your own eggs and bacon but lots of other stuff to choose from with fresh baked bread and rolls, salmon, cheese, meat and cereals. Very good. Free coffee in the lounge area 24 hours. A 5 min walk to the station and 10 mins to the centre. Kortrijk is lovely by the way.

I booked into this hotel, only to find on arrival that my booking had been moved to the budget Focus Hostel a few doors away, completely unknown to me. My details were still for the original room, and so the keycode check-in system didn't work, leaving me waiting around until someone was available. On a hot day, the facilities in the hotel room would have been very welcome. As it was, I ended up in a basic room where the window barely opened. Thankfully there was a fan in the room. There was no apology and it was left to me to point out that I had paid for a hotel room and the room I was given was significantly cheaper. A protracted conversation with the manager about a partial refund then ensued, that strangely his wife seemed to feel entitled to join in with. A fair part refund, based on the advertised price differences, was refused and begrudgingly I was given what they decided upon, handing over cash in a very aggrieved way. When I suggested we could resolve this through the booking website, they told me they would tell me to leave if I did this. I will never book to stay here again.

Top goede ontvangst en goed ontbijt. Lekkere bedden.

Emplacement au top, dans une rue calme à 5 minutes à pied de la gare et moins de 10e minutes de la grand place. Un petit-déjeuner sublime avec beaucoup de choix. Une adresse que je recommande sans hésiter.

Had een bon gekocht via social deal . Maar door omstandigheden ( kat naar dierenarts omvergereden gelukkig niet zo erg ) hebben we onze afgesproken datum gemist ofja uur :/ Heb ik hen laten weten om 10u . Weg bon vertelden ze mij :/ via social deal hebben ze dit nog eens besproken met hotel helaas konden ze niks doen. Geld verdienen zonder iets te moeten doen? Nee vind ik niet kunnen. Geef dan op zijn minst een bon ofz ? Jammer . Heb hen meermaals gestuurd dat ik het spijtig vond!

Bella soluzione per chi non vuole spendere un'esagerazione.. Posto molti tranquillo, il centro si raggiunge in 10 minuti di passeggiata.. A 300 Mt c'è una brasserie dove si mangia divinamente a prezzi abbordabili, brasserie ******. Il parcheggio è a pagamento a cifre irrisorie... 0,50 cent a notte. Colazione senza infamia e senza gloria offre un pò di tutto, formaggi, salumi, marmellate, pani differenti, frutta, yogourt etc...

Cet hôtel existe depuis longtemps et n’a pas évolué. Accueil impersonnel. Digicodes. Parking vélo dans un garage situé assez loin de la partie d’hôtel où nous étions. Il est donc préférable de décharger ses bagages avant de garer son vélo. Chambres vieillottes non climatisées. Un ventilateur sur pied fait office de brasser l’air asphyxiant. Il y a beaucoup de poussières. Douche sans mitigeur avec un rideau en plastique. Propreté suspecte. Aucune décoration d’ambiance. Petits sachets pour produits de douche d’une marque inconnue. Wifi très mauvais. Petit déjeuner dans un autre bâtiment. Café et thé corrects. Buffet très diversifiés mais contenant beaucoup de produits décongelés (et encore froids). On n’a rien mangé. Vu que tout était payé en avance… pas d’au revoir. On jette sa clef dans une boîte. Nous avons payé plus cher car, en août, il y a des animations musicales dans le centre ville et, paraît il, l’hôtel était complet (nous avons réservé longtemps à l’avance). Gestion administrative et comptable à revoir: le lendemain de notre séjour, nous recevons un mail nous priant de payer notre facture ? (Alors que le virement à été effectué plusieurs semaines plus tôt). Nous sommes très déçus. Le rapport qualité prix est mauvais. Nous irons ailleurs une prochaine fois d’autant plus que l’hôtelier ne s’est pas excusé de son erreur. (Et pour l’anecdote, la deuxième facture envoyée avait un montant moins cher que ce que nous avons payé sur base de la première facture. …). Cherche l’erreur.
