The location is the only positive about this “hotel”. I paid over $800USD for two nights. My bathroom was filled with mold. I showed photos to the front desk and they moved me to an upper floor the following night. It was very difficult for me to move my two rolling suitcases upstairs on thick carpet. When I got to the new room, I could not get the lights to work. The front desk person had failed to inform me that the second key on my keychain needed to stay in the slot in the electrical box, which of course I couldn’t find in the dark. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

The hotel on arrival is quirky, with Mickey Mouse in reception, giant bulldog and a pink osterich, but I don’t mind quirky at all. Greeted a reception by quite an abrupt receptionist, not friendly at all. We were in a double executive, on the eighth floor, thought we were having views of the city but instead an office block, which was a shame. Comfortable bed, huge bathroom which was clean, the room needed a lot of maintenance, it was grubby in parts which was a shame and then you had the huge concrete step in the middle of the room which I didn’t get at all, I thought we were having something smart for my husbands 50th that’s why I upgraded. The table was so grubby, surely it could be looked at. Breakfast was ok cold scrambled eggs and overcooked bacon, but the rest was ok but well presented. We had two vouchers one for drinks and money off in the restaurant, the flooring was so squeaky that it completely put us off so we didn’t bother. Location I thought was perfect as 5 minutes walk into trastevere where all the restaurants are, colosseum 30 minute walk, along with Trevi and Pantheon 20 minutes walk, I recommend a trastevere food tour. Easy connections to trams and buses just outside on main road from hotel. I had issues with my transfer on way home which the kind man in reception helped me with. Overall experience wasn’t the best and probably wouldn’t stay again for the price I paid, perhaps they had other rooms that would be nicer.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The communal areas were ok although could do with a freshen up. The lifts were tiny and old, made us wonder how wheelchair users manage as the lifts would be way too small. We liked the Trastevere area, lovely piazza and restaurants. But our standard quad room was weirdly laid out. No shortage of space but it wasn’t maximised. They have a comfortable king sized bed in a wooden central core which doesn’t reach the ceiling so you can’t watch the TV whilst the kids sleep without disturbing them. The other bed was a really uncomfortable sofa bed, why a sofa bed would be in the room when there is plenty of space for a second double is a mystery, I can’t see anyone actually wanting to hang out on the sofa. The table and chairs were redundant as no kitchenette so also a waste of space. Most of the electrical sockets had been capped off leaving only two which weren’t next to either bed. Only 2 main lights plus one bed side light had a bulb in it. The carpet was tatty and worn. The bath had black mould around it. Just all a bit old and dated. We were really disappointed but arrived late and so didn’t ask to move rooms as we needed to sleep. I wouldn’t stay again.

We stay here for three nights nice hotel clean room nice restaurant and bar great location. Two minutes walk from the hotel was the bus stops no3 and no8 .no3 too you to the colosseum and the no8 too you to near the treve fountain. The train station was about 15 to 20 mins walk from the hotel and there was a tirimisu shop 100 yard down the road
