The location of the hotel is superb with an amazing view of Titisee Lake. Room and breakfast is also very nice. However, room keeping service is not up to standard. We stayed for five nights and only requested for room keeping twice during the whole stay. Despite neatly placed pillows and blankets, the bedsheets are still wrinkled with hair on it, making me wonder whether they change the beddings at all. Besides, facial tissue are not replaced at all even when it’s used up during our stay.

This hotel is terrible. The location is fine, however that is the only positive thing to say about it. The room is very old and smells even older. Don’t go in the cellar to visit the bowling center, I felt nauseous just walking in there. It smells moldy and gives me creepy vibes. The room across from the bowling center is even weirder and smells also terrible. All in all the hotel is very expensive for the very cheap experience you get. The walls are thin, the rooms are musty and it felt like sleeping in my gransparents house when I was little. Would NOT recommend.

The hotel was overlooking the lake – a beautiful peaceful view from the room’s balcony! The room was large, had a safe box and a fridge. However, there was no coffee maker or a kettle. That was extremely inconvenient considering that there were no grocery stores close to the hotel, and all restaurants including the hotel’s own restaurant have been closed (we arrived at around 5 pm) (front desk person told us that everything was open). After walking for a while we have finally manage to find a restaurant that was open. Hotel had a pool and a sauna, and provided bath robes. To our surprise, we found out that hotel actually charges 5 euros for the use of the robes!! There were 2 heaters – one in the room, one in the bathroom. Both were very hot when we arrived, and both shut down completely by 9 pm, so the room started getting cold. Breakfast was fantastic! The restaurant had a view of the lake – very beautiful. We weren’t impressed by the service though. The servers were rather arrogant and weren’t in rush to do their job. We were sitting at the table for probably 15 minutes, and nobody came to offer coffee. We finally had to go and ask for it. The server who we talked to just waved us away like annoying flies and told another server to bring us coffee – no apologies or anything like that. It is one of those places where people go for the location and the view, so staff doesn’t need to provide good service. People will be coming anyway.

Parts of the hotel are tired, but the bedrooms are in good condition. Bed very comfortable and an excellent shower. Food was ok, nothing special but fine, though the milk at breakfast wasn't great. Great location, though can't see why they needed to charge us to park in their car park.

We traveled as a large family group. There is so many bad points about this hotel. I can not recommend to anyone this place. 1- we received welcome drinks cards - just a trick to bring people at the bar ( you could choose only basic cheap drinks with those and aperol or kids cocktails not included) 2 - buffet very basic nothing special 3 - rooms dated , old and not amazing clean 4 - kids didn’t have access to pool in the morning 5 - fire alarm ringing 2 times in a day because of technical problems and had to evacuate once in the middle of night with kids wrapped in blankets! Our kids were scared to continue sleeping and to sleep there again the second night ! We have been offered nothing regarding this disturbance and we payed full price for everything! We payed full price for 2 nights of no sleeping! 1 GOOD point- the location and views are fantastic!

The overall experience at this hotel is just disappointing. Rooms are far from elegant and lack the basics of any 4 stars hotel rooms. No tissue, no water, no slippers, no laundry bags and no iron machine. The bathroom fan can't be controlled and only works every once in a while which is very embarrassing when you are sharing the bathroom with someone else. The glasses in the bathroom were not clean. We cleaned the toilet use ourselves before the 1st use cause it didn't look well cleaned. When requested from the reception they say you'd have to wait until the next morning cause the room keeping department had closed and they fail to send it the other day when asked again. The breakfast area is small and suitable for winter, but not for summer. It is indoor with no air ventilation. If you book here dreaming of having your breakfast outdoors to enjoy the air and the lack I'm sorry to disappoint you, but that won't happen. When we asked to sit outside we were told that it is not allowed although some other people were already there having their breakfast. The service is slow. The waiters are overloaded and can't afford to smile. The food offered in the breakfast buffet is average. There was only 1 kind of cheese the whole time and then a board of assorted cheese appeared on the buffet 30 minutes before closing time. There was no change of cutlery. We had to eat fruits with the same cutlery that we used for eggs. The waiter didn't seem well informed and she wasn't sure about anything. She also barely spoke English. Although everyone in the town did. The experience would have been better if the hotel was cheaper and if it was rated as 3 stars instead of 4. But, it's the high expectations that disappointed us. The hotel could definitely use a lot of reannovation and enhancements.

Hotel was very nice. Well equipped, great buffet breakfast. The town itself was way too touristy. Wall to wall cuckoo clock shops, interspersed with cafés and pizzerias. The bad news was the lack of good service in the restaurant. We had breakfast there, and dinner there for three nights, and were either ignored or got "attitude" from some of the waitstaff. That was the reason that this review did not give 5 stars.

Beautiful place. We had a room with a view of the lake! Amazing view. Staff were friendly and professional. The sunbeds were fantastic to recharge the batteries. Breakfast - good choices and good food. Room was clean and comfy.
