レインボー ラアルー リゾート(Rainbow Ruiru Resort)

Had to book a hotel in Ruiru, but there are not many options. This hotel has a very cool large wooden doors at the entry and looks like it was in its heyday in the 1960’s. But! The bathroom has an old tub and black mold in the grout lines. The mirror was cracked and the walls had holes and marred marks. Immediately outside the gate is like a slum area. For half the price, it would have been overpriced.

The rooms are run down for the price I paid and the bed was squawking with every turn I made. The bath tab had molds. I have spent the night in a cheaper and much better hotel in Ruiru.

Very disappointing.not as displayed on website....Leaking sink, no hot water,no bathtub stopper,no toilet brush,no hangers,no shower curtain,dirty &slimy swimming pool.l was changed from one reserved room to another one.

Suprising good. Reservation on line went wrong. Thank you lady at the reception you gave me the room and solved it. That,s a plus. Rooms are oke. Swimming pool is great. Lovely dinner , ok you have to wait long, but hey we are in kenya so no hurry.

Garbage hotel had booked 13 nights and just stayed one. Nothing is as advertised. Deluxe room with no microwave and no mini fridge. No safe in the room and they post signs in the room that they are not responsible for your belongings. You can hear sounds from rooms 3 door down. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Booked this hotel for a few nights and told all rooms quiet when making this request. On one night we couldn't sleep until gone 1.00 due to very loud PA from function in the hotel. It took 3 requests and the managers involvement before the noise was turned down!! Informed it was because the people in the function room were drunk but this makes no difference!! Perhaps functions are more important at this hotel than residents that wish to sleep!! All amenities at the hotel have to be paid for besides the pool and after the first two occasions of providing milk for tea and coffee in the room they started charging us for request for a little milk, presenting us with two large glasses!! Breakfast has to be pre-ordered, with little choice offered but still managed to get the order wrong!! On several occasions that got requests wrong even when Swahili used!! The water to the rooms was only moderately warm in the evening, and in the morning was cold!! On check - in, told they had a problem with the hot water which would be sorted by evening but evident this is a long-term essential issue!! The wash basin tap was loose, with no water coming from hot water side and even though reported it was the same a week later!! We noticed stains on the duvet cover and evidence that the room is hardly cleaned!! This hotel claims to be a resort with a 3-4 star rating but have stayed in 2 star hotels that provide the basic essentials to be far superior. We are rarely drawn to criticise buy unfortunately this establishment warrants it!!

Forced to park way too far from the property, literally deep in the woods, and walk to the hotel. Due to the fact that the bar open to public and there are live performances they get priority not the residents. Had to beg for the assistance to bring luggage to my room, the sleeping front desk personnel protesting she was working “ alone” I don’t do the staffing, so can not help how many staff are on duty.
