ソリマー ソマ ビーチ(Solymar Soma Beach)

•Food is a major let down. Drinks : No bottled water. Reusable glass bottles in room not replaced daily, sometimes with off date on the seal. After I got ill I boiled the water and let it cool overnight. •Mini bar excluded, where we travelled with 10 yr old and Oreos that they charge for were left conveniently on the table. •No selection of branded alcohol and •Bad tasting house red not that drinkable • No ground coffee machines or hot pot ground coffee, Nescafé machines- was ok no big deal but we prefer ground coffee. •No Wi- Fi in rooms. Luckily we could catch signal of balcony. Still had we known we would not book the stay. Had a diarrhea caused by food/drinks from the hotel. 3 days on. First day I had to stay in the hotel room. Had over counter medicine from back home that we I took daily. Overall not meeting expectations for 4 to 5 star standard. Meal time we dod not looked forward to , somewhat a lottery , hunt to find something that is made fresh same day. We have no comparison to other places in Egypt, but visited Tunisia at half cost and food was excellent quality and variety there. The majority of 5 * reviews are fake. Saying above it is fair to mention positives there were •Good size pools, with perfect water level. •Room, after initial dusty welcome and reporting the issue, have been kept very clean by staff daily. •Staff are nice and attentive. We feel we had special treatment almost after reporting concerns. Some other + sides are:• Free darts, •Well equipped and not busy gym, •Ping Pong free of charge and available. •Bags of sandwiches and fruit were good and prepared for us to take on day out, we went out 2 days whilst there. •Bakery good, but pastries weren't always fresh. •Aircon though a little noisy works really well in rooms, •Rooms are good size, beach towels free of charge &changed daily. •Good effort from entertainment team keep. We loved Egypt though, we visited Luxor:Karnak Temple, Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of Kings, went swimming with Dolphins. All at very affordable prices. Those were not organized by TUI or Hotel.

VACANZA SOLYMAR ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ il villaggio è a 40 minuti da hurghada.tutto funziona alla perfezione,con uno staff egiziano molto cortese e disponibile...ti portano da bere anche sotto l ombrellone!!!!! Ottima l animazione Alpitour, Gaia Federico Martina Maddalena e Valerio ci hanno fatto sentire da subito a nostro agio con attività diurne serali e un ottimo miniclub.ci torneremo sicuramente!!!!

We travelled as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children, aged 14,13 and 4) in June 2024 for 1 week. Travel to the hotel - we got a private transfer with falcon (we paid £50 return) - totally worth it. Arrived at 11pm, 30+ degrees and were met with a cold bottle of water and air conditioned minivan. Check in - quick and easy! It was late but we were each provided with a picnic bag which had in it a juice, sandwich and piece of fruit. Room (6141 and 6142 - interconnecting family room) nice view of the sea and towards the pool area. When we arrived we were 1 bed short - we informed reception and this was rectified within 20 minutes. The room was cleaned daily and was well presented. Beach towels were changed at the room every evening. Very easy. We didn’t use the mini bar but the prices were reasonable if you wanted too. We had a lovely large balcony and great views. The air conditioning was a little on the loud side but we slept so well and room temp was perfect. No complaints from us! Pools - perfect! Nothing else to say. The pool staff were so friendly and great with the kids. Food - again, no complaints. Lots of variety. I’m a vegetarian and always managed to find things to eat. My husband and children enjoyed all the food. It was all fresh and hot. The restaurant staff were so friendly and accommodating. We ate breakfast and our evening meal at the main buffet restaurant and lunch at the beach bar (views were insane!) Drinks - Fanta, sprite, coke, bottled water (filtered), wine, beers, cocktails … something for everyone. Entertainment - spot on! Fun, friendly, good variety. Great with the kids. Chatty with the adults. Not pestered at all to join in, but always included. Location and hotel grounds - wow! Clean, well kept, and quirky. All ground staff worked so hard! Soooo clean !! Staff in general - we were spoken to by management every day who asked us how we were enjoying our time, and whether there was anything they could do to improve - we always confidently answered with a happy no, but it was lovely to know that they cared enough to ask! Tips - we took a fair few one dollar bills - worked well. Would recommend. Excursions - we didn’t do any! Didn’t need too. Hotel was exceptional and the entertainment at the hotel was enough. Sunbeds - we stayed around the pool for the duration of our holiday and we always managed to get 5 beds together, with shade. Pool guys were so helpful if needed, but no issues whatsoever. We have been to hurghada 3 times now, and have always stayed at Jaz aqua viva (lots of slides!) we are due to go back to Jaz Aquaviva in 2025, however, we are seriously considering changing to Solymar Soma Beach as we loved it so much! Tummy issues and sickness - none from us. We were in the pool most of the day and ate all the foods and drank lots of the bottled water! I think much of the issues stem from the high temps ( upwards of 45 degrees while we were there) and then the low temps of the air conditio

the total experience was good , but there were some issues like the food quality and diversity was not as expected for the hotel rate , The AC in the room was too loud , we weren't feeling like we were special we believe that Booking guests receive more special treatment and Fayrouza restaurant was a very bad experience the made us wait a huge amount of time and the food quantities were too small and the taste wasn't deserving the struggle

The hotel is amazing, staff super helpful, chief has a great selection and lovely test. Service is very professional and friendly. Highly thanks for Madam Massouda and Mr. El sayed Magdy for handling everything for us and take care for all the small détails to make our experience wonderful. Room 6242

I Highly recommend this hotel, i had an amazing time, the place is very convenient for Family everything is close you don’t need to walk long distance to go the beach, Pool or restaurants, lovely restaurant by the beach. The Staff is super warm and helpful very responsive especially Abdel Rahim Ali who made our stay even more perfect.

One of the best hotels and the staff was very very helpful specially Ms Masouda and chef Ahmed NAser who made our stay fantastic , at fitwe had some problems but ,Mr abdel rehim , Ms Masouda , chef Ahmed could manage to solve all the problems and make us so happy

since we have arrived the hotel is superb thank you Mr.Ahmed El Gammal night manager for your help & support Thank you Mrs.Masouda for your kindness the beach is superb the restaurants is super & many varieties of food the staff is amazing animation is great this is my second visit & won't be the last

I’ve been to several hotels in different countries but I have to say that this holiday was one of a kind. Lovely place..beautiful beach..excellent service..clean rooms..tasty food with great variety. Staff is very helpful, welcoming and polite Special Thanks to Mr.Alaa Ms.Masouda Chef Mostafa You really deserve to be the best hotel in Hurghada. And we’ll be back soon.
