ラ ヴィラ エスポンダ(La Villa Esponda)

Stayed two nights before embarking on the Camino Way. Check in was easy. No one on sight but we called and were let into our room. Room has all you need. Bathroom is tiny but serviceable. Bed is a double - bit small really. Had two tea bags for our two night stay and as we never saw anyone during our stay we couldn’t get more tea bags. Only a few little milks for the tea. It was an ok stay but lacked warmth or atmosphere. Felt like - there is your room - pay now - goodbye. But it was ok.

My car broke down, couldn’t get there in time for reservation called owner asked to reschedule for next day. No help point blank refusal. They lied and told ******* agents there were no rooms. But I was able to bare on the app there was. Just mean

An excellent value for a lone traveler. The most comfortable bed during my extended trip in Europe! Make sure, as I did not, to review the check-in instructions a day or two ahead; the staff will arrange to meet you. Otherwise, it may be a bit disconcerting to arrive to an open door, a dark hallway, and no one to speak with.

This hotel is perfectly situated to allow quick access to the charming town of Saint Jean Pied de port

The room on the 3rd floor is spacious and clean. I could hear the noise next door and plenty of flies outside our room and saw two flies in our room. We did find any parking near the hotel - had to park on street - 5 min walk

I had to wait a bit for check in with two other peregrinos as the door was open and the owner was not around, but did not have to wait long and she was so nice. The room was huge with a good view from the window, the bed was comfy, it had modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, and is in a good location.

Very responsive through WhatsApp. Easy check in. Friendly staff to meet you at the place

Beautiful historic building, great location, efficient staff. A pleasant place to stay.

Great stay, it was roomy, had great AC, very clean . We were only there one night, and ate out, but there is a small kitchen w stove top only, which is great if you are staying a while. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The village is amazing!
