absolutely ideal for a short stay,plenty of parking,receptionists speak decent English and were polite,the rooms are small and basic but ideal for short stay,only 10min walk from main square and plenty of bars and bakery shops to choose from,30 mins from Calais and only 45min train ride from Lille,would stay for a overnight again

Been using this Ibis for many years for stop offs & weekends in St Omer. The breakfasts are very good value as always. But rooms (& beds in particular) getting a bit past it. On arrival I noticed our bed had a mattress topper - soon found out why! Even so, bed was hard & sagging in middle. It seems these days this budget Ibis hotel is near full occupancy - due to large group bookings by French police dealing with migrants. They keep themselves to themselves & are not as friendly as your average guest. Slightly alarming too, to see armed personnel congregating in your leisure hotel of a morning! That said - they have to be billeted somewhere & no doubt it’s very profitable for Ibis - but maybe Ibis should invest a little of that profit on replacing the mattresses more often!

The Hotel staff was lovely, all speak and help on English. However the cleaning in the hotel specially in the bedrooms is not that great. I did find spiders, cobwebs in the wall corners in the top of the bunk bed. The bunk bed still had hair of other people and a lot of dust 😐. The shower was not to great as the water leak to the bedroom while we take a shower, the bedroom very small compared with other Ibis budget hotels that I have been through the years.

If you've got a noon sailing back from Calais - Dover then I'd recommend staying here the night before. It is just a 35-minute straightforward drive to the port. We found the hotel to be quiet, the staff friendly and speak good english, and the breakfast was more than adequate. We had a 4-person family room which was clean. It is a short walk to a cluster of eateries, including a Buffolo Grill and a McDonalds (convenient, as we arrived after 9pm). The area feels safe, and there's ample parking to the rear of the hotel. Yes, the hotel is a little tired - but for an overnight stop for a family of four, I'd certainly come again. From the number of UK numberplates in the carpark, we are not alone.

As expected, rooms are small but OK. They're looking a bit tired, could do with a deep clean and a new coat of paint. Beds comfortable. She other people can't shut their doors quietly in the morning. It would be good to have soft close fixings on the doors. Breakfast is good for France, nice selection. Staff very helpful and friendly. Secure car park is a huge bonus.

Lovely stay at this hotel. Rooms small but clean. We arrived quite late due to delays in England. The concierge warmly welcomed us. Although we were late, we were able to get something to eat (pizza is served until 11:30pm). We needed extra pillows which wasn’t an issue. Had a great nights sleep. Continental breakfast was plentiful with good choices. Ample secure parking which is a must for us motorcycle riders. Would stay here again.

As Ibis Budgets go, I've seen better. Yes it's cheap(ish) - 84.00euro for 1 night plus breakfast for 2 adults & a child! Rooms are tired looking. Handwash area & shower are IN the room, toilet in a separate tiny room. Other Ibis Budgets have a completely separate bathroom plus a bath, which is better. The biggest issue I had with this Ibis budget was the SMELL!!! Note there are smoking and non-smoking rooms (so if you're coming from the UK like us and assumed everywhere is non smoking as it is in the UK, think again), so when we had to be asked to be changed rooms to a non-smoking one (image putting 2 adults and a teen in a smelly smoking room!), they obliged and we moved. Room smelt fine BUT THE FLOOR (both 1st and 2nd floor) STANK of cigarettes. It is frankly ridiculous in 2022 that this is the case in any hotel. Or at the very least have one complete floor which is smoke free, and then the coridoors won't smell. Disappointed. Breakfast was average.

Good reception, great attitude and helpfulness Room OK - basic but it is a budget hotel - only £6 less than the main ibis though Every other hotel was full which is why we were here Good locked parking Noisy as sound proofing not great

Very kind staff, welcoming and efficient. Hotel is overpriced for getting a room by main road, hearing all noisy traffic from locals with stupidly loud exhausts on their mopeds
