Our stay in Guernsey was lovely, and made all the more special at the Duke of Richmond. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and drinks and food delicious. I will happily return to the hotel the next time I am in guernsey, and recommend it to anyone visiting.

Today we had afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday with 7 friends. The staff were amazing and attentive and so friendly. They could not accommodate us enough. The afternoon tea was exceptional, such wonderful variety of sandwiches and tasty sausage roll! The scones were delicious and so freshly made with jam & cream. The cakes to finish were delicious! This afternoon tea was the nicest we'd ever had, the champagne complimented it too!

Fantastic stay! I had high expectations but the DOR went far beyond these. The room was beautiful and spacious with lots of great amenities and snacks with a nice view too! The staff were all extremely friendly and really went out of their way to make it a memorable stay, even delivering a welcome treat to my room after I spent a night on Sark. Breakfast was plentiful and I ate in the restaurant twice and both meals were delicious. Will definitely return!

Fantastic hotel run by a guy, Diarmaid McDermot, who will surely reach the top of the hospitality business. Sticking to the principles of the original founders, Bea and Stan Tollman, this hotel treats its guests with u**ost courtesy and respect. From Reception through Restaurant through Housekeeping, it runs like clockwork with too many members of staff to mention individually. If Guernsey was worth a revisit, we would definitely stay at the Duke.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary with a sumptuous afternoon tea at the Duke of Richmond. Nicolas & his team were friendly & attentive & made us very welcome in a relaxed a**osphere. The savories & cakes were delicious, plus able to choose which type of tea we each preferred. Altogether we had a wonderful afternoon. The chef surprised us with a personalized slate containing a yummy fudge brownie decorated by fruit, much appreciated. Definitely recommend treating yourself.

Wow! What excellent service! My sister and I had been treated to an afternoon tea plus a bottle of champagne by her husband . There was such a scrumptious selection, all so beautifully presented, and everything tasted so delicious. We couldn’t eat any of the cakes , but were given containers to take them home with us. The selection of teas was truly amazing, we both especially loved the Cream Earl Grey. We spent several special hours there, just chatting and catching up, it was magical, we weren’t rushed. We hadn’t had any lunch, and certainly didn’t need to eat anything else after! If you want to spend some special time, do go, you won’t be disappointed. Special thanks to Bobby for making it so special.

Had a fantastic afternoon in the domes. Paul and Nicolas were very attentive and were great hosts. The food was very tasty too. We had a three course meal with lovely wine. Would highly recommend this as a private setting for friends. They provide a speaker so you can play your own tunes

Tonight my friend and I attended a charity ball event at the Duke of Richmond. We had a great time but at the end of the night were unable to get a taxi home despite trying to book one earlier that day and via the app. Dermot an employee at Duke of Richmond was really accommodating trying to get a taxi for us but to no such luck. We asked if they did a shuttle bus service to town so that we could go to the taxi rank as we planned to walk but it was pouring down and Dermot ended up offering to take us to the taxi rank but instead took us both home as we weren’t too far free of charge although managed to give him a fiver much to his refusal. He was a true polite gentleman who made us feel at ease and a credit staff member to the hotel! Thanks again Dermot!

Beautiful hotel with very helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them.food was delicious. Room very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Outside pool looked good, we didn't use it. Pool towels provided. Amazing choice for breakfast, everything you could possibly want, and more.
