Mostly friendly staff. Food could be better. Loud music every evening until about 11pm. Direct access to beach.

After a few days touring Dakar, pink lake and Goree Island I relocated to the beach resort town of Saly and checked into the hotel which is made up of two parts Le Saly Hotel and Les Filaos. I was given a room in the Les Filaos part, which I was told had all the entertainment and events. Very beautiful resort hotel with a beach front. For the next 6 days I relaxed on the beach after breakfast drinking cocktail and reading a book on my tablet. Lots of activities during the day, unfortunately they were all in french so i couldn't join in as an English speaker. The evenings were capped with a show from 7 to 8pm also in french. I really had a very relaxing visit and spent more time on the beach than in my other beach resort vacations mainly because Saly Town doesn't have any other tourist attraction beyond the beach.

Great all-inclusive hotel! Family-friendly and amazing food. I would definitely visit again.

Just returned home from my stay at the Saly Hotel. I have been traveling for years and i have never came back from a vacation so exhausted. The nights (besides one Sunday) have been consistently disrupted by all sort of noises (music, tam tam, etc.) until sometimes 6 AM. Noting i sleep with double ear plugs and i could still hear the noise. We have raised this to the Hotel but unfortunately there was nothing the hotel could do as they are saying, but i must disagree. I am sure that there are laws governing how and when we can make such levels of noise and if they’re not respected the hotel must call the police, because your number 1 responsibility is to ensure your guests have the best time possible. The rest was ok. Food is good and unpretentious. The selection of wines as part of the all inclusive could be improved. The pool area is clean. The beach is nice but you can’t walk 2 meters without being constantly disturbed by someone. The room beside the bad soundproofing are ok but would benefit from a refresh. I would suggest you add small bottles of water in the toilet to use instead of tap water but also to add and refill at least a big bottle of water. We always had to take it from the restaurant. The staff is generally very nice but there are few elements that have been rude, not polite and not client friendly. I think overall the all inclusive is worth it but unfortunately the noise and the lack of proper sleep have made our stay a nightmare.

The rooms were simple and comfortable and the food was decent. However, the service was not great. The receptionists either ignored you while speaking to other people, could not make a simple decision (and had to wait for the manager), or even gave an attitude. I hosted an event there, and not once was I asked how it was going. When I mentioned that the conference room was very hot, and asked for more water, they could not even propose solutions (like an extra bottle of water, even if there is a cost). I found the reception staff to be tedious. The restaurant staff and others were nice. I would NOT rate this 4 star.

Nice local hotel with simple decor and the comfort expected for a 4-star African hotel. Local cuisine and traditional entertainment, popular with foreigners and nationals alike. It is international cuisine but with traditional inspiration and methods, such as well-done meat.

To much charter A bit to much all inclusive charter hotel for my liking but the location is fantastic and if you like games and group activities it’s probably a good choice for you
