ミドルタウン ファームハウス B&B(Middletown Farmhouse B&B)

If you want somewhere that's quintessentially olde English with the best Hosts then this is the place for you! Nicky and Kevin were fabulous. Bed was sumptuous, wonderful shower area and yummy breakfast to top it all off! Thoroughly recommend a stay!

We stayed at Middletown Farmhouse for five nights while on holiday from Australia. This B&B is in the little village of Sampford Courtenay - five miles from Okehampton. The village has a pub which serves very good meals and has a friendly welcoming a**osphere. Our room itself was comfortable with an ensuite with walk-in shower, a comfy bed, plenty of storage for clothes and bags. The TV though is tiny and there is only one chair in the room. There isn’t a fridge but Nicky gave us a small thermos with fresh milk each day for our cuppas. Nicky was a lovely host and assured we had everything we needed. She provided info re where to eat, how to get there and general tourism info. Breakfasts were delish - the fresh berries and the homemade conserves were yummy. Nicky also makes a pretty good cooked breakfast as well. The cottage is over 400 years old, which has its charm but also uneven floors and steep staircase. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others.

We had a lovely stay at Middleton Farmhouse . We were greeted with a Devon cream tea by Nicky and had a good evening meal in the New Inn, just a couple of minutes walk up the road. The double room was very comfortable and so quiet at night. We were treated to an excellent breakfast the next morning. We only stayed one night but the village was lovely and had lots of history which we discovered by having a look round the village church. (The Battle of Sampford Courtenay 1549 )

Scrupulously clean, comfortable bed, lovely breakfasts and the hosts Kevin and Nicky were perfect. This was our 4th visit and hopefully we will be back. Samford Cortney is the ideal base for Dar**oor walks, lots of friendly village pubs, and not that far from the coast.

Absolutely lovely B&B in a very pretty, quintessential village. Nicky was both friending and helpful, the room was spotless, well provided and comfortable (and little touches like home made shortbread and decaff coffee always help!). Breakfast was particularly tasty and the choice is astonishing, considering the size of the business. Also handy for multiple walks and a good pub. I intend to stay again.

The simple classification "B&B" doesn't do justice to Middleton Farmhouse: its location in the middle of Sampford Courtenay is perfect for calm and for discovering the surrounding countryside. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and breakfasts are substantial, with excellent homemade preserves. Nicky and Kevin are excellent hosts, and look after their guests very well. Beautiful well-kept gardens, with a tiny rill, and off-street parking are added advantages.

This was our first stay in a house with a thatched roof - and it has to be said the property was immaculately presented, with a great blend of the new and the old. Modern facilities such as a new shower, but little aspects of the original design preserved too, and a very homely feel. Kevin and Nicky were lovely hosts, they made us feel welcome throughout. The cooked breakfasts were really nice, in particular the home-made black currant & butter jam went down well with my girlfriend! Lots of lovely walks in the surrounding area. The New Inn pub is a few minutes walk away, which serves really nice food and good local ales. Would love to stay again when we next visit Devon :)

Our stay at the B&B was excellent. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked to order, and a good choice. Even a vegetarian choice. The house is in a lovely village with a local pub and within easy driving distance of Dar**oor and the north coast. Nikki and Kevin were very good, helpful and friendly hosts. I would highly recommend Middletown Farmhouse B&B to anybody and would certainly go back again when we next visit Devon
