The staff is really helpful and friendly. It looks exactly like the pictures. Feels like an old school converted into apartments. They provide everything you need and are very detailed. It would have been better had I made it a longer stay so I could have taken advantage of the kitchen.

A little tricky getting codes to get in etc. but overall good. A bit noisy at night due to being in the middle of the action downtown which isn't bad for a lot of people. If you are there to have a good time it's perfect. Lot's of cool things and places to explore nearby.

The Maverick is in a truly perfect location a block from The Riverwalk, minus some sound from outdoor music at night on the weekends if that bothers you. Apartment style, 2 bedroom was clean and updated. Easy in and out with keyless entry. Very courteous staff in lobby. Cool Comedy Club in basement level. Close to so may things in San Antonio. Would stay there again for sure.

Staff is wonderful but the noise has always been here but it’s gotten much much worse. Cars and motorcycles racing all night long. Impossible to sleep through with or without the earplugs they give you.

The room was beautiful and clean. It had everything I could need. The kitchen was well-equipped with many appliances, dishes, utensils, cooking tools, etc. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff was amazing. They were so friendly and helpful at all times of the day (even at 6:45 in the morning). I valet-parked my car, and all of the valet workers were great as well. It is just about a block from access to the riverwalk, and there are many restaurants within walking distance. I felt safe at the hotel. I was on the 9th floor, and yes, you can hear traffic from the street. However, it did not keep me up at night. I actually enjoyed hearing the horse-drawn carriages go down the street. When I return to San Antonio, I will definitely plan to stay at the Maverick again.

No cleaning included during stay, cold air slipping through the windows at night, lot of noise from the outside at night. No parking included

The best things about the Maverick are the location, the shower heads and the staff. Just a one minute walk to the River Walk, tons of shopping and food. But since its center city, expect lots of inner city homeless street people. The rooms were very modern and comfortable for an older building overall. The staff were available and helpful. The shower heads were so good I ordered two for our home. The downsides are that all the windows are old single pane, wood, double hung design. They are very cold, and allow for a LOT of outside noise and wind. We were 8 stories up and could hear people talking and partying on the street clearly. The noise from the neighboring building rooftop heat and air systems was absolutely relentless and annoying. The single bedroom floor plan has only a full size bed, very small for two people. The bedroom window has only cheap plastic Venetian blinds and no blackout or dark curtains. So the cold and noise and light in the bedroom made sleeping less than ideal. The only reason I’d stay here again is that the location is excellent. But for the same money, there are better choices.

Never again. While the furnishings and appearance were well done, and the staff were very helpful, we’d never stay here again. The noise from neighboring buildings heat and air rooftop units and street noise was constant and annoying. Even 8 stories up, we could hear people partying and just talking. Why? The windows were all single pane glass, wood double hung type that had never been upgraded. They let in cold air and noise everywhere. In fact, the management provided several sets of earplugs and even a ‘sound machine’ waiting in the room, which tells you everything. The bedroom window has a cheap Venetian blind, with no blackout curtains. Sleep at this place is a lot of work. The location was great near the riverwalk but lots of homeless around. For the money, this was more of a headache than a vacation.
