A very nice surprise at the end of our trip. Unfortunately only booked one night, because we travel to the coast tomorrow. Beautiful (new?) bungalow near the reception with a great view. Many different types of birds, friendly and helpful staff and great food. Also try the local beer!

The staff is wonderful, and the grounds are gorgeous. The beds are very comfortable, as well.

Had a wonderful stay at Boca Tapada lodge. Our hostess Ericka helped us with all the questions we had. The bungalows are clean and spacious. The outdoor bathroom with a shower overlooking the river is fantastic. Only downside (and this is for all Costa Rica) are the mosquitoes. Especially during night and in the restaurant this was hard. Luckily they had bottles of repellent at the reception to help. For the hike we were guided by Silvia and although we were unlucky for not seeing much animals, this was totally compensated by her enthusiasm and all the knowledge she has about the animals and nature. We loved this excursion and rated this as one of the best we ever had.

The lodge is nicely located at the riverside. This village is really away from it all, very few tourists. Very quiet. Nice bungalows with everything you need. Small terrace and some had also outdoor showers. Nice food - breakfast, lunch, dinner with good options. The tours the lodge offers are fantastic. We did the boat tour down the river and a nature hike.

I love quiet atmosphere and great scenery from dining area. I took nice pictures of beautiful birds including toucans. I want to stay again.

This is certainly a highlight of our Costa Rica trip. One of the most beautiful places we visited. We had Miguel as our tourguide and he is the best. Not only he has a lot of knowledge of the local community, he knows about every plant or tree (medicinal), he also knows about every animal living in that area. What is interesting about his tour is the personal experience in the area (life long) and his passion about the wildlife and rainforest. And he is keen to share it all with his clients.

In één woord GEWELDIG, zondermeer de beste locatie van onze rondreis! Wij hadden een prachtige ruime lodge aan de rivier. De accommodatie ligt midden in een natuurpark, prachtige vogels en andere dieren zijn vanaf het terras te zien. De zonsondergang is hier adembenemend. Het personeel is geweldig, gastvrij en attent. We hebben genoten van het heerlijke eten, goede kwaliteit/rijd verhouding. Vanaf deze locatie zijn verschillende excursies mogelijk o.a. boottochten en bijzondere vogels spotten o.a. de koningsgier, ara en kolibrie. Een echte aanrader. Wij komen er graag nog eens terug.

Unser Aufenthalt war einfach fantastisch. Den schönsten Bungalow unserer Reise durch Costa Rica. Bungalow mit grosser Fensterfront direkt am Fluss. Das Restaurant oben mit fantastischer Aussicht. Vom Restaurant konnten wir sehr viele verschiedene Vögel beobachten. Die Flussfahrt war sehr eindrücklich. Danke dem super hilfreichen Team Conny & Liana

On est un peu au bout du monde avec rien autour. Nous avions un bungalow sur la rivière, avec un très bon lit, une clim très bruyante, et une salle de bain extérieure à rénover. Le problème est qu’il faisait vraiment froid + pluie et se doucher dehors n’était pas très agréable ! La sortie sur la rivière est sympa mais sans plus. On a vu deux crocodiles et pas grand chose d’autre. Le restaurant est correct, mais rien d’extraordinaire non plus. Cette étape au Costa Rica n’était pas très intéressante.
