San Gimignano was a highlight of our trip, it is such a cool city and the surrounding countryside is spectacular. But our room, our courtyard and the city itself (especially in the rain) was breathtaking. The room was clean and comfy, and the location was perfect. I felt transported back in time. Marzia was spectacular - her attention to detail and especially her help with recommendations and aligning us with drivers was like magic. She knows everything and everyone about this place and it really helps. Would go back here in a heartbeat, it was perfect.

A very, very special hotel. Located right in the heart of the old town. Easy walking distance to everywhere. Rooms are fairly standard, but clean and a good size. What makes this hotel special is the receptionist. She could not have been more helpful- booking us a hotel for our onward trip (and negotiating a discount on a busy Saturday night), recommending us a brilliant restaurant and general info about the town. I heartily recommend this hotel

Ok, let's start from the beginning. I fully understand that this place is special for the owners due to family heritage but when you decide to rent accommodation you need at LEAST to cover basic needs. Attached are photos from the supposed bathroom. I expect an excuse like "this is a real palace of the 13th century" but this doesn't mean anything. I understand that the Innovation will not be there but seriously, we couldn't take a shower nor use the toilet. On another note, the room was smelly due to humidity. Also there was no heating. Re helpfulness and hospitality, by reading the owner's responses to other bad reviews, one can understand that in this property the customer is NEVER right. We were doing city hoping in Tuscany and my girlfriend had a luggage of 20kg. We were allocated in the 2nd floor. I understand that in such a place, there is no elevator but I would suggest 2 options : 1) either inform the guests upfront that they will have to carry their staff through a tiny staircase or 2) have someone available to help. When it comes to the free parking, that was the most funny part. THERE IS NOT A FREE PARKING. The owner will ask you to log into Google maps to show you where you MIGHT find a parking space by the road in which you won't have to pay. In a public space. Lastly, we opened the fridge and we found an opened bottle of water. Probably forgotten. To conclude, this was the worst accommodation we had in Italy, thankfully it was only for one night. The location is truly great though. And one advice if I may as I also work in hospitality. I truly understand that this property is something unique for the owners. But there is huge area of improvement if you want to earn a living from hospitality. Long story short, everything that is written in the negative reviews, it's accurate and true. Now I am waiting for the owners response that I am the one to blame...maybe I am, since I booked it by myself

My stay was absolutely incredible. I took my 8 person family to San Gimignano because I wanted them to experience a tuscan city while also having plenty of liberty to explore on their own outside of our wine tasting and other activities. The host Marzia was so kind and gave us amazing recommendations. I highly recommend staying here with family, as a couple, or solo. They made yuo feel at home!

The staff was fantastic and extremely accommodating! Checkin was smooth, and the staff offered severa suggestions on things to do, places to eat, etc….The room was spacious enough for our family of 7. The location is perfect and close to several restaurants, bars, and sights.

Exquisite accommodation; original furniture and artworks, amazing location, quiet…. Can’t expect anything better! Marzia, our host was exceptionally friendly and helpful; she managed to book a table in one of the finest restaurants in San Gimignano during a wine festival when it was all booked out. She also gave us many recommendations about what to do, where to park the car etc. I highly recommend Palazzo Buonaccorsi for an outstanding stay.

Staff is wonderful, this historic house is in the heart of the town surrounded by everything you need to make your stay there memorable.

The most fabulous authentic 13th Century right inside the beautiful Medieval Town of San Gimignano. Totally recommended if you are lucky enuff to get a room. Beautifully maintained and superb priced. A wonderful experience. The owners Marzia and Pierluigi are the perfect hosts and are always available to offer help on where to eat and places to visit in the Tuscsn Hills.
