Not sure how they justify renting rooms with no a/c and only floor fans in Nicaragua. We rented 2 rooms -poolside. No air conditioning in either of them and one had a ceiling fan that moved like it needed a defibrillator. In the words of Fools Rush In - the white people are melting but I would also add so are the Nicaraguans. The hotel only has salt water in showers and faucets. And the salt build up shows that it is not properly cleaned . So much salt you may be able to scrape some in the event you need salt for your margarita (did not have one but the mint lemonade was refreshing - but no replacement for air conditioning). We ended up leaving at 9pm because our rooms where around 98-102 deg Fahrenheit and would have argued but saw how they handled another client for 40 min who complained about the same thing. When we decided to leave I walked in and told my wife- we are out!! - bam the lights go out yes folks no electricity. It did come back on quick - but for a moment I thought about that man who argued for a/c and got the new room and while perhaps he was cooling down - bam no a/c in a room that he just argued for. For me this was the gallo pinto sign for us to get out - so we got a place 5 miles away WITH the presummed luxury of A/c.

Location and view from hotel is spectacular. Sunsets and sunrise from here unforgettable. Staff were so helpful and kind. Loved happy hour from 4-6 as the sun set. Management was on site and very helpful. Food was delicious and large portions. Mondays music and margaritas was fun. Loved my stay

It was advertised as a retreat but they played loud music constantly. The chairs around the pool were all switched to uncomfortable wood ones, and while our room was technically clean it stunk so badly of bleach. If the music was calming and they had comfortable seats I’d recommend it.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hush Madeiras. The location is excellent, the facilities are well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. The food was very good, and the place has a great vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. Service was occasionally a bit slow, but nothing that significantly affected the overall experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at hush, we were staying in a private room. We could see that there is an effort by staff management and the owner to provide an excellent experience for everyone present. We loved our stay here.

Excellent hotel. Amazing facilities, lounging areas and views. Rather rough 15 mins walk to the beach, not quite beachfront. Warm water in the showers (not hot) and no fresh water in any of the faucets (filtered ocean water). The restaurant is amazing and the staff (David) are great! Overall great experience.

The views from this hotel cannot be beat! From the dining area to the 360 rooftop area view, you’re surrounded by gorgeous green mountains and a view of the water. Due to it being a hilltop resort, walking to the beach is a slightly steep 15 minute walk, but totally worth it! I saw some of the other views complain about the drive up the hill, but it’s nothing bad compared to some of our other stays. One thing about the hill is that the only local “store” is a small shop at the bottom of the steep hill, with the closest restaurant being about a 15 minute taxi drive. Which leads to my first complaint: the menu and service hours. We were told food is served until about 8:30/9pm, but was actually done being served at 8 with no nearby food options available; so, early or you might be left without food. They were also out of most things on the menu, but the limited hours and selection could’ve been due to going in November. My second complaint is the water quality; upon arrival we were warned not to let any of the shower or sink water enter our mouths, including brushing teeth and all that jazz. Therefore my boyfriend and I were skeptical of showering during our trip, and had to brush our teeth/wash our faces using my water bottle. It felt like we were camping, and the WiFi connection wasn’t too good in the rooms. Overall the food was delicious and the views/proximity to the beach couldn’t be beat. Just plan accordingly for water supplementation and having backup food/snacks.

Great place to stay on the quiet outskirts of the beach and amazing views from your room straight to the ocean. 100% would recommend a stay here and the staff was very professional and friendly.
