ロシータス ホテル(Rositas Hotel)

The staff was super helpful. There is a lot of value for your money with space for 4 to sleep and a fridge. It has air conditioning and hot water. When the power went out they were quick to show us the switch for the generator. It's close to the beach, restaurants and stores.

I spent one night here after an emergency in my apartment required that I vacate. Easy check in, good a/c and wifi, comfortable bed and clean room. All the basics for sure - plus an excellent location. I’d give it a 5 except the staff wasn’t particularly friendly. Not a whole lot of smiling going on, which is not something you see very often in this country.

Well located property next to the beach with a shared outdoor kitchen and small courtyard to dine in. The rooms are basic but clean, with luxury of TV, air conditioning, fan and your own mini fridge which really helped a lot for chilled beverages/fruit (any type of food laid outside of fridge would attract critters thus probably why there was no in-room kitchenette other than fridge from photos). Wifi was non-existent in rooms and even at reception when it showed full bars trying to pay with credit card. Extremely noisy on the weekends due to standard out of town weekend guests and you can hear everything if you’re a light sleeper, daily water/coffee advertised was not always there and kitchen is often busy during key hours so best cooking times are before/after. Everything is well-loved but functional. The family who run this place are inviting, friendly and work hard.

There were roaches and the sheets were absolutely horrible and would not stay on the bed.

Stayed at Rositas for 3 nights as a group of three. PROS * Value - Although I wouldn’t call this cheap (it cost 173USD for three nights for three people in a private room with bathroom, air con etc) it was a lot cheaper than it’s competitors. * Location - it’s only a block from the beach and the action * Air conditioning - did work although did break down the second night. They fixed this. * Hot water - like the air conditioning did work but broke down on the second night. They did fix this * Communal kitchen - combined with a fridge in our room this allowed us to self cater * Staff were friendly as as mentioned above did deal with issues in a prompt manner. Security - Was good. Deadlocks on doors and bolts on windows. Has someone on the entrance 24/7. CONS * Rooms - the whole hotel is quite old and the rooms are pretty basic. They seem to stuff excess furniture into them as well. A normal sized room felt cramped after having a large cupboard, couch, table and non functional kitchenette (no gas plugged in). * Wifi - worked but the internet attached to it was very unreliable and dropped out constantly * Clean - the hotel is a bit older so doesn’t feel the best. I did note between the couch cushions and under some of the beds there was a thick layer of dirt. Overall this is a ok option if you’re looking for something cheaper in SJDS that’s close to the action.
