5 Star location, 2 Star room (Classic Double).

Great views, lovely pool. Lovely cocktails, however a little pricey. Lunch could be improved. Lots of flies at the pool. Room is quite small but has everything you need.

Perched up on a hilll in Sestri Levante afforded beatuful, panoramic views. A bar at the top and the restaurant a floor below was breathtaking. A quick elevator ride down from the hotel left you right near the walking streets and was very quaint and authentic. The staff was fantastic, informative, and always helpful. The train station is within walking distance. The ferry to Cinque Terre was not operating this time of year, so the train was the best option. This was one of our favorite hotels! Our room had a large patio/courtyard that was relaxing.

The view from our room was incredible. We stayed on the second floor, corner suite. The room transports you back to the late 70’s. Need an actual key to enter and then another key to plug in so the power stays on. Room needed an upgrade to the 21st century. The safe was from 25 years ago, running on batteries!! Lol! The two restaurants had amazing views of the Bay Of Silence and the surrounding areas. Service was definitely first class here. This place needs a total renovation to bring it up to date, from the old carpets to the rooms. I gave it 4 stars for the view and service, otherwise 3.5.

This is a lovely hotel with wonderful views over both bays in Sestri Levante from the roof top bar and dining room. The breakfast had great variety to choose from. The evening meal was fine dining and so not to everyone's taste or price level which was a pity as it was a lovely place to eat and savour the views. The bar was the same €15 per drink which came with a number of tasty tapas but not necessarily what you want before going for dinner. Our room was very small not a place to do more than sleep but had a lovely garden with numerous choices of seating. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed.

Corner portobello suite is totally worth it on upper floors! Views are amazing. Great food and excellent, helpful staff. Shuttle service (small fee) whenever we needed it. Walk out the door and onto the path to hike to Punta Manara… steep climb but worth it. 😃

Our stay was 6 nights in May 2024. Room A2. The staff was friendly, helpful, and cheerful. The locale, high on a hill, was breathtaking as were the views. The outdoor pool is the top "floor." Quiet, superb views, clean, warm. The restaurant/bar has excellent food, wine, cocktails. The daily breakfast has so many choices it was impossible to taste everything. Our room was small (compared to hotels in the U.S.) yet comfortable. The shower stall was is first-rate - roomy with a "rain shower"head in the ceiling. The town is quaint and not filled with tourists, at least it was not in May. If we lived in Italy, and not Illinois, the Hotel Vis a Vis would be a regular holiday venue for us. Skip the crowded Cinque Terre and choose Sestri Levante instead. To the Hotel Staff: well done everyone. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
