The Excelsior hotel is, without doubt, one of the best we have stayed at. Our third time there this year and we shall return. The staff are the friendliest, the owners are superb and give you their best attention, the rooms are lovely and the ski in/out aspect is second to none. As for the rooftop swimming pool, it is so wonderful, we love it.

What's great: My family and I greatly enjoyed our ski vacation at Excelsior. The rooms and public spaces are very comfortable and welcoming. Food ranges from good to truly excellent and they went out of their way to prepare a local dish for us which my wife had come to love on a prior trip. The ski-in/ski-out is very convenient (rental skis get delivered to your private ski locker on the ground floor) and we loved swimming in the rooftop pool at night with a view of the village and the stars. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. What's ok but could be improved a bit: The gym is useable but the weight equipment is not great if you're into more intense work-outs. The decor is a bit of a mix across the decades when it was built - not so easy to fix though. And the massage we got was "just ok".

Great place to stay! We had a great time!! We enjoyed the pistes right next to the hotel, the food, the outdoor swimming pools, the yoga lessons and guided hikes. Thank you so much to the staff & owners for making this experience possible for us.

This yer we chose the Dolomites for our weekly family skiing trip! Excelsior came recommended from a family friend and we couldn’t be happier with making this choice! The beautiful hotel run by the Call family is a unique modern alpine resort offering excellent service, amazing food and super amenities for the whole family! It is located on the pistes in San Vigilio, just an easy ride to Kronplatz. The experience exceeded our expectations and we all enjoyed our time there. The family and staff make sure that each guest is taken care of in a special way! I highly recommend Excelsior and the Dolomites for a relaxing and care free vacation!! Can’t wait to go back!

Must admit, it is a bit of a journey to get to the resort. But it is totally worth it! I recently stayed here with two other families, and every single one of us was so happy with her decision to stay here. From the hotel amenities, to the meals, best of all, the staff. Ultra clean hotel, accompanied with beautiful scenic surroundings in the dolomites. We have been on the road for 15 days, to our surprise a bag of laundry was only €10 that was worth staying at this hotel alone. Every night at dinner we were greeted at our table with the hotels host, such a family atmosphere. Stay here, you will not regret it. Much Aloha to this wonderful staff.

Had a wonderful stay here for 7 nights. Amazing experience! We love the family room we chose with two toilets and two rooms that is very comfortable for our family of 3. We love the gorgeous view of the mountains from our room. Overall, the hotel is luxurious and modern. Reception was helpful with professional advice on hiking routes. The staff in the restaurant are friendly, smiley and welcoming. In particular, we are very impressed with the genuine hospitality of Ms. Samara from Romania who is always so kind and welcoming. Ms. Irene, the sommelier, is very knowledgeable, professional and gave us fantastic recommendations on wine in the region. We enjoyed lovely wines from Dolomites. The staff are all fluent in English and the service went above and beyond our expectations. Totally recommend!

Highly recommend this lovely accommodation! The photos do not do this beautiful property justice!! From arrival the reception staff are warm and welcoming. We were offered lunch and a private tour of the hotel prior to being shown to our large, immaculately clean, perfectly appointed family room. The meals and snacks were lovely with broard choice and suitability for teenage children. Words can not describe the magnificent views from the adults only roof top pool. We visited in summer and would love to visit in the winter to enjoy skiing and winter sports. In the summer you can relax and enjoy or mountain bike ride and hike. If I could give this property six stars for every level I would.

We felt completely taken care of at this beautiful hotel in lovely Sankt Vigil. The staff has thought of everything to make your stay an amazing one. From ski in/ski out, to the variety of meal choices, to the amount of food that is available all day (including made-to-order pasta station) the sauna, the pools, the spacious and well-designed rooms - it just makes vacation easy and fun. We tried all sorts of Südtirolean food that we had never heard of and the flavor combinations were all delicious. The staff are very helpful and kind and only want for you to have a wonderful time. It is a family run business and it really shows. Of course, it is not a budget hotel, but you likely already know that. Can only recommend the Excelsior if it is within reach!
