Palmyra Boutique Hotel in Sanliurfa is within walking distance of all the sites. Gobeklitepe is only a 35 minute drive. Parking is next door. The rooms are meticulously decorated and large. The staff goes out of their way to provide first class services to every guest. At Palmyra Boutique Hotel there is a positive energy and everyone is friendly and eager to help. The breakfast is the best I’ve had in my 32 years of travel in Turkey. (see photos) Travelers looking to stay in an authentic historic place need look no further. Palmyra was built in 1863. It now serves as a perfect place to rest and explore the history of Mesopotamia. Highly recommend!

I know I should not risk myself to say "never again in this place" but, in this case, I think I can say that. First of all, I can hardly qualify this as a "hotel". For any of us, hotel means a clean, quiet place to rest, have a shower and sleep at the end of the day. In this case, everyday you have music from 8 to 11pm, and no sweet music that you can hear but drums and flutes playing at tjeir highest volume!. The room only is slightly clean if you ask for it, and the only reason they gave was "there only one key of the room". Finally, the bathroom door in our room (number 1) was only about 1,40 m. High. You can imagine how usually you knock your head with the frame. The combination of all this factors, and others that I cannot summarize here, is the reason why I should recommend to avoid this hotel.

Wonderful hospitality shown by a very helpful staff. Room was comfortable and clean with a good breakfast. Optimum location to experience the old city. Wonderful ambiance created by the court yards. We were very satisfied and their attention rendered everything very easy.

great little hotel, staff were excellent, could not do enough for you, great breakfast which was brought to my room in the mornings, nice room, the bed was comfortable, good all-round a**osphere, near the bazar, and close to a lot of the other attraction's

The staff is very kind. Parking lot is beside the hotel and convenient. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The breakfast is traditional and excellent.

We had a great stay at Palmyra in the heart of Urfa's old city. Everything of interest is in walking distance and the hosts are hospitable and very welcoming. We would stay here again!

This is one of our favorite hotels in Turkey! The room was large and had lots of a**osphere. It was a monastery formerly. We asked to have breakfast brought down 3 floors to the outside patio. No problem! Great service. Very nicely served and delicious. Our guide from the hotel to the archeological site was very good. Just a note that the guide was $17 US per person and the entry fee for foreigners was the same. So it was a $34 US each venture. Very worth it! The site is so well done and amazing.

Unique ness of the room, spacious. Walking distance to the balikgol park and fish pond and other historic sites. Many restaurants and shops around the hotel. Breakfast was good, an omelette, different types of jams and cheeses, tomatoes and cucumbers. Negatives were wifi is weak in the room, there was loud music all night from neighbors. And most irritating for me I feel like I was ripped off for the main historical Gobeklitepe tour offered at the hotel. It was a 15 minute drive and basically a closed museum and open air excavation site, everything was self explanatory, no need for a guide honestly . Transportation plus guide I was charged $150 dollars excluding the entrance fee which was 480 Lira. The whole tour took 2.5 hours total. Not happy about that. I had requested a taxi transfer to take us to the airport but he never showed up on time so the concierge kindly offered their ride and that was a nice gesture however the driver didn’t know the way, traffic was terrible, petrol light was on, so in the middle of all this we stopped to put petrol. Needless to say we almost missed our flight!

Host was great, went above and beyond to give information about the entire state and city. Mehmet bey allowed us to check in early and to check out later. Room was clean, grounds were clean, breakfast was delicious, staff extremely helpful. Would recommend to anyone, was an excellent experience.
