Boutique Hotel Ilio

A small boutique spread out across the hillside of St Andres. Nice but not exceptional. The views are not unobstructed to the sea like so many other hotels in Elba. The beds are very hard. Rooms are clean and have the essentials. Breakfast was lovely and abundant. The beach is lovely with gorgeous sunsets. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Excellent boutique hotel - one of the nicest in which we have stayed - 5 stars from start to finish. From the moment we were welcomed to the moment we left, everything was fabulous - location, rooms and especially the staff ! Molto grazie tutti!!

Hotel Ilio is a treasure. It's perched on the hillside overlooking the sea and a short walk to the beach. The owner Maurizio is incredibly welcoming and helpful. He secured excellent dinner reservations for us, and provided great advice on what to see. The hotel itself is comfortable, with plenty of outside spaces, and great breakfasts. Highly recommended.

We recently stayed a week at this hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room had everything we needed and we had a lovely view of the sea from our balcony. We were made very welcome by all the staff and the breakfasts were very good. We certainly intend to stay at this hotel again and would recommend anyone visiting the beautiful island of Elba to stay here too.

We stayed here for 4 nights in the room on the sea. Pros: great view; very nice room with AC and refrigerator; nice bathroom and nice balcony; we loved being right by the beach and restaurants. The only con was that right next to our room on the neighboring property, there is a pump that runs all day and it is loud and very annoying. You can hear this pump in the hotel room which is a bummer. I don’t think Hotel Ilio can do anything about it because it comes from next door. Because of this noise, we kept the windows closed in the back and spent most of the time on the front balcony where you cannot hear the noise. I would definitely stay here again. But you need to be comfortable with the early noise of people getting the beach ready and the late night noise of people having fun on the beach. We didn’t mind those fun sounds, just the constant water pump sound. The breakfast at the hotel was lovely and it was great that parking was provided. The hotel’s website accurately describes the sea room as being a bit loud.

We spent four nights on Elba and in this beautiful boutique hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. In fact. we thought that this location was more than prime - our seaside room was so spacious and beautifully decorated - and featured a super-quite A/C. Listening to the waves at night (sometimes also some drunk young people who chose to hang out a the beach at 4 AM ;-)) and waking up looking at the sea from our comfy bed. The breakfast offered everything we needed and the staff was very sympathetic and attentive. Sant' Andrea is a more remote area on Elba which we preferred of Portoferraio since it feels a little bit more exclusive to us. There are plenty of restaurant options in the vicinity (walking distance) and the sea/beach is beautiful (though very full - we were there in August just before ferragosta). A coastal walk brings you to beautiful rocky shores where you can jump into the sea. Just perfect. Thank you, Hotel Ilio Team, for making our stay a special one.

Il boutique hotel Ilio è un buen retiro per chi ama la tranquillità, il comfort e la bellezza: questo è stato per me. Si trova in una località, Sant'Andrea, che ha una bella e raccolta cala con spiaggia sabbiosa e rocce. Il soggiorno è stato piacevole, la camera (Tuscany) spaziosa e accogliente e con vista mare. Pulizia al top, cura del giardino e degli spazi comuni eccellente, personale professionale, sorridente e genuinamente gentile. Il proprietario, Maurizio, dà consigli preziosi che denotano grande passione in quello che fa. Lo raccomando senza ombra di dubbio.

Solo complimenti a questa struttura... Tutto perfetto, camera spaziosa e pulita con cambio giornaliero del set spugne,colazione con ampia scelta di prodotti dal salato al dolce, personale gentile e professionale. Da consigliare

A fine estate 2023, dopo aver passato 8 giorni all'Hotel Ilio come tutti gli anni e come tutti gli anni aver trascorso altri giorni di ferie da altre parti, non puoi fare a meno di apprezzare ancora di più l'hotel che ormai da 9 anni è tappa fissa delle nostre vacanze. L'Hotel Ilio è quel qualcosa che non trovi da altre parti, sarà la posizione fantastica in un angolo dell'Elba che penso non abbia uguali, sarà la struttura con tutti gli spazi comuni in cui ti puoi rilassare veramente, sarà il personale che ha sempre il sorriso sulla faccia e una disponibilità che non ho trovato da nessuna altra parte, saranno i proprietari che capisci veramente che fanno questo mestiere con passione ma noi non riusciamo più a farne a meno. Un grande grazie a Barbara, Maurizio, Leo e tutto lo staff per i fantastici momenti che ci regalate ogni anno, inizia il conto allla rovescia per il prossimo anno. A presto e un buon inverno a tutti.
