エリクサー デル マール(Elixir Del Mar on the Beach)

Last morning for us in Santorini so we’re up early to watch the sunrise. The Elixir Del Mar is a lovely small family run hotel, right on the beach front. Immaculately clean, great food but the best thing is the staff. We have a particular soft spot for Kostas, who has looked after us on the beach everyday, and we got to spend some time with his lovely girlfriend, who visited for a couple of days while we were here. The sunbeds and parasols are free for the hotel guests. It’s a perfect resort for couples (especially newly-remarried ones!). There is a real mixture of nationalities here - very Cosmopolitan. One Greek Irish bar, and no signs advertising full English breakfasts or Sunday roasts. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The pebbly beach wouldn’t be great for kids - it’s definitely more a spot for grownups- but we have had some wonderful meals in numerous beachfront restaurants, and the staff everywhere have been so friendly. Other than when the kids were little, we have never holidayed at the same place more than once - but we will definitely be returning to Kamari, and this hotel

The staff were very friendly, location is fab and the food was lovely. We were not sure what to have for lunch so just had a picky lunch. The view ftt try on the restaurant is lovely overlooking the beach

Spent 2 weeks at the Elixir del mar, our room was excellent with a hot tub on the terrace, which we used every day and had a beautiful view of the Aegean Sea whilst we sipped a glass of wine! Breakfast was great and plentiful, omelettes pastries yogurt and fruit, orange juice and coffee, right on the beach! We loved the beach, stony but had come prepared with swim shoes, a few days the waves we too much for me so the pool was used those days, always plenty loungers, and kept nice and clean, We loved the fact there weren’t any mosquitoes around not sure if this continues into high summer! Dined at the restaurant our first evening and the food was good but so many other restaurants and evenings out at different locations meant we didn’t get a chance to eat there again! Staff all great and friendly, very helpful, Pool area and changing facilities for late checkout could use some updating! All in all highly recommended this Hotel!

We stayed here for a week and were thrilled with our choice of hotel for many reasons. 1) The location is perfect. Right on the beach. 2) Countless restaurants along the promenade outside. 3) Breakfast was served in the beach restaurant and had lots of variety. Great to start your day! 4) The room was quite spacious with very comfortable bed. 5) The shower was the nicest one I’ve ever experienced. Great water pressure and huge shower head. 6) Sheets were changed every day and fresh towels supplied. The floor was mopped and everything left spotless. The lady who cleaned our room was excellent and very friendly. 7) The pool area was also spotless with comfortable sunbeds. The pool itself was lovely , surrounded by flowers and urns. It wasn’t a huge area but it felt very like a garden because of all the greenery. 8) Last but not least , I’d like to thank the lovely staff who looked after us so well. Vasilis who served breakfast every morning and Angel ( very aptly named !) who worked behind the bar. Both guys did an amazing job. Kamari is a lovely place to stay because it’s Santorini but without the throngs of tourist that you see in Fira or Oia. We would definitely stay here again were we to return to Santorini.

We booked three nights here on short notice after leaving one of the other islands earlier than planned. We are now at the hotel we had pre-arranged, and I wish I could go back to Elixir! The room was so spacious and beautiful with a rooftop patio and daybeds inside. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the action on the street below. The breakfast was large, and a la carte. The beach chairs were on a great spot and available to guests or restaurant patrons. Our room was cleaned spotless daily, the bed was big and the perfect softness. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We didn’t use the pool choosing to be at the beach instead. Big thank you to all the great staff, especially Angel for looking after us!

Very nice place, well positioned in the center of Kamary. The Rooms are renovated with all the confort, breakfast is very good with a lot of variety of meal. The staff is very kindly and provide everything you need, a special thanks to Nikos that help us a lot of time during the vacation. I really suggested this Studios for vacation in santorini.

Very nice and comfortable family hotel located on the beach. The hotel has large rooms with balconies. The balconies will soon have jacuzzis. As I have already mentioned Hotel is a family hotel: this is its charm and its disadvantage. That is why I subtracted 2 points. Unfortunately, management is selected not on a professional basis, but on a family basis. The whole common space of the hotel, which is already small, is occupied by the whole large Greek family and the guests somehow don’t get a place. Очень красивый и комфортабельный семейный Отель расположен на самом берегу. В отеле Большие номера с балконами. На балконах скоро будут джакузи. Как я уже сказала, что Отель семейный: в этом его прелесть и его же недостаток. Именно поэтому я и отняла 2 балла. К несчастью менеджмент подбирается не по профессиональному признаку, а по семейному. Все общее пространство отеля, которое и так невелико занимает вся большая греческая семья и гостям как-то не очень достаётся место.

Perfect location to enjoy the beach!! Room size is nice, staffs are very nice and friendly!!

Belle suite mais jacuzzi mal réglé faisant du bruit absolument toute la nuit. Tres reposant vraiment et liner du jacuzzi partant en lambeaux. Draps ressemblant à du papier de verre .Reception minable avec un grandparc enfant au beau milieu ( pas pour touristes mais enfant propriétaire ). Personnel très désagréable!! Une chambre avait été promise pour se changer/doucher en fin de journée avant de reprendre notre vol et nous nous sommes retrouvés valises par terre au bord de la piscine à devoir se changer dans toilettes/douchiere sales a coté de la piscine . Une honte.. attitude inadmissible de tout le personnel nous regardant d un air amusé!
