サントネロ - ザ フィロクセニア プロジェクト(Santonero - the Philoxenia Project)

The hotel is located outside the town of Akrotiri on the quiet side of the island, but this was absolutely no obstacle but rather the opposite for a private and peaceful holiday. The suites are incredibly spacious both inside and out, very modern and minimalistic, well insulated and well equipped. The outside is accommodated by a large private terrace with incredibly comfortable sunbeds and a sofa group with a dining area, as well as two pools, one larger and one smaller, which is nicely heated. But what made the outside really special was the incredible view of the caldera! The breakfast served in the suite is chosen the day before from a large selection of different options. It was incredibly good and a perfect way to start the day, and of course you also choose what time it should be served. Unfortunately, they do not offer lunch, and this is probably the only disadvantage of the hotel in our opinion. They do, however, offer room service for drinks, small snacks and fruit plates from morning to evening. They serve dinner and we can highly recommend it because it was the best food we ate on the whole trip and it is served in the room just like breakfast, perfect to be enjoyed until sunset. And the best part of the entire stay was definitely the incredible staff who made sure we had everything we needed and more! Wonderful treatment, caring and personally accommodating! The hotel was so special that only after four days we booked another stay at Santonero and went back for another week this September.

This hotel is simply amazing from start to finish. The staff were so helpful and katerina the manager was amazing and helped me decorate our room as a surprise for my new wife. The apartment is huge and is literally two hotel rooms rolled into one. The private pool and private jacuzzi is an amazing touch and it over looks the caldera and volcano. Literally on the edge of the cliff. Stunning views all the time. Would not change one thing about the hotel and I have high standards with hotels. Thank you for making our wedding trip amazing. My husband and I stayed for a part of our honeymoon and it was beautiful. The rooms, pool, view and hospitality were perfect. It’s modern and on a quieter side of the island with a charming town close by. The place was beautiful but the hospitality was outstanding. A big thank you to John who made our stay exceptional. The breakfast served overlooking the view is a standout from everything else. Thanks again team!

Phenomenal hotel stay with top notch service. The beauty of the Caldera from the hotel room was breathtaking! Staff was exceptional and made our experience well worth the money. Pools aren’t heated, which was the only negative, but that is par for the course with most hotels in Greece. The initial attempt to find the hotel was frustrating, but Gannis helped navigating us to the location. We needed a few garment alterations for a family photo shoot and Giota made it happen in perfect timing! Breakfast was was always on time, served on your outdoor patio at the time you select each day. My children (15 & 13) were mad at me for not booking a two week stay. Lol With full upstairs and downstairs separate bedrooms, smart tvs in each area and great Wi-Fi, we had our much needed space to spread out and relax and enjoy the amenities. It was the perfect vacation in the perfect location. I’d recommend renting a car (if you can handle different driving tendencies in foreign countries…there isn’t a stop light on the island..lol) then get one. Beaches, shopping, and restaurants are anywhere from a 5 -40 minutes drive. And that’s really only because of the winding roads to get to Northern side. Can’t say enough good stuff about this hotel. Could it have been better? Sure, things can always be improved. But our experience was worth every dime spent! Shout out to the entire staff for making our Summer 2022 vaca a memorable one!

one word to describe our stay in Santonero “Perfection”. The hotel is completely new, in a remote location (akrotiri) of santorini. So Peace and panoramas are what you receive from this location. Rooms and polls are cleaned every morning and you receive breakfast and dinner directly in your room’s outer space. about this point: what a breakfast!what a dinner! chef Cristina knows how to prepare what you want in gourmet style. Special thanks also to the staff Alexandros Mark an Kostantinos are always there to help you out with anything. Ask something and they will give you ! Santonero is a wonderful new hotel located on the cliffside of Akrotiri. There are no other properties situated in front of it therefore the views from the rooms are excellent. The decor of the rooms is incredibly tasteful, each item and colour scheme has been well thought out and resembles what you might expect in a design magazine. The architecture of the hotel is also impressive, each room has its private pool with views of the caldera that are breathtaking. The location at akrotiri is great, away from the hustle and bustle of oia but close enough to reach by taxi in the evening. If you’re worried about the location, easy transfers arranged by the hotel will make it a breeze. The manager of the hotel Alex is lovely and is willing to go the extra mile to make your stay more comfortable. The food and cocktails at the hotel were above expectations. Breakfast is served in your own private area and is very generous. The lunch and dinner menus are extensive; for lunch we tried the souvlaki and club sandwiches, both were excellent. The margarita was to die for and we couldn’t find anything of a similar standard in oia… Overall, Santonero is one of the greatest hotels I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. I’m looking forward to being back!
