Cavo Tagoo Santorini from September 30 to October 3, 2026, was memorable, defined by striking views, elegant design, and a distinctly luxurious atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the property impressed us with its panoramic vistas and understated sense of refinement. Our room was beautifully appointed, exceptionally comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Throughout the hotel, the high-end amenities and sweeping views of the Aegean created an atmosphere that felt both polished and relaxing. The staff were warm, attentive, and consistently welcoming. Dining was another highlight, particularly the complimentary breakfast, which offered an extensive selection of beautifully presented and genuinely delicious options. Each morning, breakfast was one of the most enjoyable parts of our stay. Our main disappointment was the private heated pool, which we had specifically selected and paid extra for as part of our room. During our stay, the water felt considerably cooler than expected and was not comfortable to use, particularly given the unusually cold and windy weather. Because access to a heated private pool was an important factor in choosing this room, we would have appreciated the opportunity to have the temperature checked or adjusted during our stay. To help address this issue, the hotel might consider using solar pool covers or another heat-retention system, especially during cooler or windy periods. It may also be helpful to provide guests with clear information about expected pool temperatures and a straightforward way to request a temperature check or adjustment. These measures could help ensure that guests receiving a private heated pool as part of a premium room category are able to enjoy it fully. The hotel’s location is another consideration. A taxi into town costs approximately €30 each way, which can become a significant additional expense alongside the room rate. Given the property’s luxury positioning, a complimentary shuttle service running at set times several times a day would be a valuable enhancement. Even a limited schedule, with advance reservations, would make it easier for guests to visit town for dinner, shopping, or sightseeing without relying entirely on taxis. Despite these points, the exceptional setting, sophisticated design, luxurious accommodations, excellent food, and friendly staff made our stay very special. Cavo Tagoo is a beautiful property with breathtaking views, and we would recommend it to travelers looking for a luxurious Santorini experience. We hope the hotel will consider these practical improvements so that future guests can make the most of the private pools and explore the surrounding area more conveniently.
