オテル ラ クゥルゥヴリンヌ(Hotel la Couleuvrine Sarlat Centre Ville)

The hotel is located right downtown and the building itself is lovely. We had a room for three on the ground floor and it was quite spacious. The rooms are carved out of a larger building, so they are a bit quirky. We had breakfast in the hotel, which was a decent spread, and dinner one night, that was quite good. Parking was available for an extra charge in a covered, gated lot, but it was a ways from the hotel, ~300 m. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful, historic hotel in an idyllic, picturesque setting. Very nice accommodations and helpful, friendly service. Wonderful breakfast buffet, fresh and delicious. Bilingual staff was very accommodating. The village of Sarlat is beautiful and extremely walkable from this convenient location.

Fantastic hotel. Great room, super clean. Amazing restaurant — we had dinner two nights. Best of all: the staff. Everyone took care of us like family. We will be back.

Great location. Staff extremely helpful. Newly renovated bathrooms. However, there is no air-conditioning, only fan provided. Even in October it was hot! Also, the restaurant as well as a good portion of Sarlat-la-Canéda is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The staff did find us other accommodations for dinner which were excellent.

i) no airco in the rooms, not sustainable at least in summer periods of high temperatures (30+) - should be resolved or at least highlighted in ad of hotel ii) small rooms iii) not extremely friendly welcoming at reception iv) perfect location at entrance of city center, Sarlat is place to be

Beautiful stone building in the center of everything. We arrived on our bicycles and were greeted warmly by reception. They gave us a secure place for the bikes. Our 3-course dinner was exceptional. Our breakfast (included) was a buffet style with lots of options. Not just flaky pastries, also eggs, etc. We have zero complaints about this hotel and restaurant, and would return for sure.

Overall a great place to stay in a perfect location for the town and the Wednesday market. The only downside is the somewhat quirky rooms and the stairs and steps in the rooms, one between the bed and the bathroom! Also on entry to the room you have to stand on the stairs and lean over to lock the door. Great food in the restaurant, the dinner and breakfast offer for 40 euros per person is great!

Very well located in the old part of town. The restaurant is excellent.

We stayed at La Couleuvrine for 2 nights in June 2023 whilst visiting gardens in the Dordogne. The hotel is well located for touring and very well placed on the edge of the lovely medieval walled town of Sarlat-le-Caneda. Cleanliness, value and rooms would be rated as Good if that was an option, they weren't very good but were better than average. Our room was large and airy. The bed comfortable. The wifi in the hotel was very patchy. The only place we could get access was in the breakfast room or in the small reception area - there was no lounge or bar area where we could sit of the evening to sort emails, etc.
